This restaurant is running a scam on customers. Upon getting in line at the drive thru menu, I noticed the sign on the left had the breakfast menu and breakfast side items still facing forwards (not available), and the sign on the right had the normal side items, with featured items in the middle. The sign on the left should have been rotated with the value menu facing forward.
I ordered a son of baconator and small fry. At first, the drive thru attendant acted as if there was no "small fry" option, yet it was on the menu. After she finally got the order correct, I mentioned to them that they had the wrong menu facing forward, the breakfast menu was still facing forward. A staff member with a headset came out and was just about to adjust the sign, started rotating the correct menu (value menu, etc) forward, when someone came on her headset to tell her not to do that.
When I got to the window, I asked why they didn't rotate the menu to show the value menu and the drive-thru girl said "we don't have a value menu". I said, "You guys don't offer the junior bacon cheeseburger and double stack and stuff like that" and she said back to me "we don't offer stuff for a dollar". I responded, "I didn't say it was a dollar, I said it's your value menu, do you not offer those items". About that time, the manager spoke up from behind her "Sir, someone ran into our sign and it doesn't work. If you want those items you have to let us know you want them".
I specifically heard them say not to rotate the sign forward with the value menu, then was told by staff "we don't offer the value menu" when in fact they do. The staff at this store are running a scam by not offering the value menu, they are making customers believe their only option is to purchase more expensive items, driving up revenue numbers. The staff was lazy and could care less about doing a good job, if not outright lying to customers. They should be investigated, possibly by the Florida Trade Commission. On top of it all, I was given a cold...
Read moreThis location is terrible. I placed a mobile order for food for 4 people, got to the window was told there was no chili & offered a baked potato instead. Fine. I was asked to pull forward & wait which I did. After about 5 minutes someone came out & said there were no potatoes & offered me baconator fries. Fine. Now, mind you, the chili being replaced is only 1 of the 10 items I ordered. I am left to wait again. Another 10 minutes pass and I see food being brought out to other cars. After another 10 minutes pass a guy finally comes out with a small bag and thrusts it in my window and turns to walk away. I tried calling out to the guy saying this is not my order because 4 meals could not fit in this one small bag and was ignored. I waited about another 5 minutes thinking more bags might be on the way, before deciding to go in. Inside was an empty counter and about 6 people with their backs to me preparing other food for people who came to the drive-thru long after I did. I tried to get someone's attention & was again ignored. Finally, someone at the fryer acknowledged me & I explained I didn't get the right food. I was told to go wait by the door & someone would come speak to me. I waited another 10 minutes and during this time watched 2 other people go to the counter & order then leave with food. At this point, I realized I was not going to be served. Since I had not received/picked up my actual order, I still had the cancel option available. I canceled my order & left with whomever's food was thrust through my window & went to a different restaurant. I hate to say this but, I feel this treatment was racist. It was quite obvious that I was the only white person in the restaurant and all of the other customers had been served & were treated kindly. News Flash - Wendy is also white. And I did nothing to provoke this treatment. I believe everyone deserves kindness and respect. Your staff...
Read moreDrive-through cashier attitude is just horrible. Says see can't take two orders at the window because the inside of the store is closed. So as I attempted to add the 2nd order to the 1st. She told me to pull to the window because she cannot hear me. When I do instead of taking my order she tells me that I am holding up her line. I asked her to tell me the prices of a sandwich so I can decide in which she does not know the sandwiches that she is selling and she does not know the prices she doesn't even have the capacity to look to the side on a menu or on her register for a price for even a name of a sandwich in which she serves daily. It has been a while since I ate at Wendy's. My nice day just went south. Her importance to taking orders is not a must have. Another employee that wants to work with people can easily be in her place. I will surely avoid her next time I visit. Making someone feel low is not a policy. I believe a policy might be to tell the customer what you have so you can sell them items. I work in fast food. I never treat people in this matter. Our employee would be reprimanded with a write up at the least. Costing the company money is never good. A bad rep is bad also. 1 customer may not matter to some. I only bought what I already ordered because when the cashier just walked away which was rude. The person that came to the window had at least some sense of humanity. I may have went home hungry but at least I saved the 15 or 20 bucks that I was going to spend on combos. Plus now I know to just go ahead and drive right past this Wendy's when I am...
