Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Janesville

I would consider rating this restaurant even lower than I have it rated, but the food is really good which is helping them out. I have been to this location 3 times in the past 2 months, and I'm pretty sure they are extremely understaffed. The first time I went here there were a few cars in the parking lot, and every single door was locked, but there were 5 cars in the drive thru. The 2nd time I went here, I walked right inside, ordered my meal, and sat down to enjoy my meal. The last time I was here, there were people inside enjoying their meals, but every single door was locked again, meanwhile the drive thru was packed. I sat in the drive thru for probably 15 minutes just to order my food, and I sat at the speaker to order my food for close to 5 minutes without anyone asking for my order. The food has always been really good, but the only explanation I can think of for most of my experiences is they can't find enough people to fully staff this restaurant. If you're looking to go inside and sit down to enjoy your meal, or to get your food quickly in the drive thru, I would maybe consider going to another...

Got to the Janesville Popeyes at 10:15 am , not a sole on the place except for 3 employees behind the counter, they open at 10 am.. I ordered a chicken sandwich combo.. Now you'd think since they had only been open for 15 minutes that the chicken and fries would be made fresh, especially since there were no customers other than myself... Yet all the food warmers were filled with chicken, and who knows how long it had been under heat lamps, I guess they were anticipating a huge rush that early in their day..I left at 10:45am and only 3 cars had gone through the drive thru.... Anyway...My chicken was tough, and grisly not to mention the fact that it wasn't hot!.. Luke warm to say the least, the French fries were also barely warm, I asked for bbq sauce with my order and when I sat down there was no bbq sauce in the bag..I highly doubt I will be going to Popeyes again.. Thank God there's a Chick-fil-A less than a mile from Popeyes... It was a Sunday and Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays.. I've never had a bad chicken sandwich at Chick-fil-A... 4.5 stars this last visit. If you are a senior citizen you can get a senior discount. In the drive up, you may or may not get the discount. I informed the girl taking my order I'm a senior at the end of giving my order. After I got to the window to pay, I gave her my money and she gave me the receipt with my beverage and bank card. In looking at the receipt, I didn't see a discount applied. When she returned with my food I asked her if she'd applied the discount and she said no. I was already in a hurry so I just left. I don't always remember to mention the senior discount so I don't get to take advantage of it each visit. It's very annoying when the clerk doesn't charge the right amount. I like the mild chicken best. Always go through the drive up. Can't stand the constant music blasting Louisiana Cajun tunes so I order at drive through and go. I have mentioned on several occasions that I'm a senior and you don't know until you get the receipt if they applied it or not. Turn off or turn down the music. This is Wisconsin not the deep South.
