Road Dawg Saloon & Eatery — Restaurant in Janesville

You need to update your hours, I came for a beer before midnight on a Sunday (last night) and there were still patrons in the bar but the doors were locked and the bartender (younger looking female) ignored me, even though she saw me, until I knocked on the door and when she FINALLY came to the door she said they were closed. Horrible staff, won't be coming back.

[Edit]; If anyone (including the restaurant manager) cares to actually read these reviews instead of just skimming over them, they would realize that almost every negative review of this establishment is met with almost the exact same response each time, "We too are concerned to hear your experience was less than up to par. Please feel free to contact our RM in order to figure out what we did wrong, etc., etc.." even though most are fairly transparent about what upset them during their experience, which leads me to believe that whoever is reading these reviews isnt reading them thoroughly, or just doesnt care. It is unfortunate that I won't be back to experience what could have been an enjoyable atmosphere, but theres always another...

6/13/25 Well i use to like coming here today I bobtailed in to have lunch and the blonde lady bartender told me I was blocking the parking lot and I had to park on the street as if there is street side parking that would be blocking traffic So In essence she's basically turning a customer away just cause i drove my truck here and I parked out of the way and I'm uploading a video but what ever never coming back here ever again So what's your definition of blocking? am I in the way ??

Got kicked out because one of us didn’t have an ID.

Sat down at a table (not the bar), didn't get acknowledged for like 10 min. Bartender finally comes over and asks for ID (with a fly swatter in hand.) My friend (who clearly looks 35 and turning grey) said he didn't have his, and I said I can show mine, but we just want food. She said no, you have to have ID’s. And you order at the bar. We’re a bar, not applebees.

There was literally little kids in there. We weren’t sitting at the bar, and we just wanted food which we stated respectfully.

Nowhere on their website or front entrance or signage says you must show ID to enter.

If that’s the company policy fine, but have it posted and don’t let actual kids in. Will not be back. Get some staff who actually care about the place they work at and who have respect for...
