Perkins American Food Co. — Restaurant in Jefferson City

A lot of young people working that have no idea about customer service. Walked in with only three tables going, but dirty dishes on several other tables. All staff was in the kitchen laughing and goofing off. Waited a good 5-6 minutes before finally shouting hello into the kitchen to get someone’s attention to come seat us. Servers would bring food out of the kitchen to people and run right back in there. We were barely checked on. I watched several more people wait a long time after walking in to be seated because no one was out in the dining room, and some of these people were much older, using canes and looking very uncomfortable. We were finished with our food for a good 15 minutes, noone came to ask if it was good, take our plates or offer us dessert, which is what we really wanted, a piece of pie. My dad actually saw them throwing things at each other in the kitchen and thats when i decided to say something. i had to stand in front of the kitchen door for a couple minutes when finally the cook of all people realized i was there and sent someone out at which point i complained that they were not doing their jobs and with only 7-8 tables seated, things should not take so long and that hanging out in the kitchen and not paying attention to their customers was hugely unprofessional, ive been in food service as well. i said we'd been sitting there for ages waiting for pie or a check. she then went back into the kitchen where i heard laughing. the cook did poke his head out asking if the food was ok. Several people came to me saying well done and i was right, they just didnt want to do it. it was still a good while before our waitress came to see us, but she only dropped the check without saying a word. no offer of dessert or saying have a good day. My dad was going to buy a pie, but decided against it and we went to Dairy Queen for ice cream instead. the only reason im giving two stars is because she remembered what my dads gf always gets. But for three people the check was $70, and absolutely NOTHING about this experience...

Ordered food at 9am on uber eats, my food was made at 9:06am and for some reason the order cancelled. At 10:30am, the order was placed again and remade. When my uber eats driver picked up the food, he was given the order that was made at 9:06am!!!!! Instead of the new food!!!! he arrived to my door at 11:25am,!he mentioned the time stamped on the receipt upon delivering and said that the food is cold and he believes that is has been sitting out since it was made at 9:06am...I called the restaurant and inquired about my food that i received , i was told that the food (the new order made at 10:30am) was still sitting in front of him on the counter, i then asked if the food I received was made at 9am since the receipt read that and he told me he had to go and speak to the manager. I was on hold for over 15 minutes. I called back 30 minutes later and was told that the cold food that I received was the new order, after he said that the new order was still in the store. I was only inquiring on how long the food had been sitting out as i did not want to get sick after eating it. So after telling me my new order was still in the restaurant and then lying 5 minutes later telling me that the newest order was the cold food that i received, i asked for a refund - yet for some reason this had to go into a difficult process and i was asked to be on hold while i waited for the manager to deal with my issue. I did not have the time and had already spent 3 hours waiting on this purchase. I told the worker that i did not need a refund and will be leaving the restaurant a review instead. Things might have gone better if i had gone to the restaurant but i was delivered cold and 2 and a half hour old food and still lied to about the food I received and not treated as a valued customer. Was looking for a place to grab late breakfast on a Saturday. Wasn't sure if this was going to be a good experience from the time we arrived. The parking lot was dirty with weeds growing through the cracks, wasn't sure it was opened. Upon entering we wewaited to be seated in an mostly empty restaurant. When seated the hostess show us to a table next to the kitchen doors. When I asked for another table shebwas unable to hear me over the noise and talking from the kitchen. She seated us at a table by the window which was much better. Our drink order was taken by a different person than who brought it. After about a 5 minute wait a server came and asked what we were drinking then left. That same person returned to our table to take our order about 5 minutes later. She would turn out to be our server. When we ordered it was very apparent she was not familiar with the menu. She wrote our order on a wrinkled piece of notebook paper she pulled from her pocket. Our order arrived and was correct but she didn't remember who had ordered what. She also could not remember what we were drinking when asked for refills. The food was ok but definitely restaurant food that seemed to be rewarded. Then came the check. $65 for 3 people? I expected around $50. With the prices on the menu but I never checked drink prices to be so high. $3.95 for a 16 ounce glass of coke? I couldn't believe it so I asked the cashier if it was correct and was toldjust how it is all restaurants are doing that but water is still free. I paid it and left shaking my head and wondering how this place is still in business.
