McDonalds is a huge international corporation in part due to their shrewd and cutthroat moves in real estate. Corporate carefully selects locations based on accessibility and service area and this is a huge part of their success. Consistency and reliability is also a key part of this; whether I'm in Germany, the Dominican Republic, or Arkansas, I can expect a certain quality level and pace from McDonalds.
Through no fault of the workers at this McDonalds, however, this is the most chaotic and worst McDonalds I've ever been to. After major reconstruction, the McDonalds is now entered while turning into a curve with poorly marked lanes and no stop signs. I feel in danger of an accident from oncoming traffic or people leaving the McDonalds from that same entrance every time I go. There is also a second entrance/exit, that comes out onto a residential street and crosses over a pedestrian sidewalk in a very strange way that feels unsafe with low visibility. So even before you get to the McDonalds, you're on edge.
This McDonalds has issues fulfilling orders even in off-peak hours, such as 2pm on a Tuesday. I assume this is due to the chaos of the construction and street access more than anything else. As for other qualities, such as the food and the correctness of order, I feel these are lacking too, but the main issue is that the location itself and access to the McDonalds is fundamentally chaotic and strange. In my local friend group we call it 'the bad McDonalds' and only go when it'd be inconvenient to go to another location. This location feels cursed.

Read moreWas told one minute after 10:30am I could not pick up my breakfast order. Was told by the employee to cancel it. You can't. Asked assistant manager for a refund and was told they can't. Spoke with the MANAGER and she told me I have to contact my credit card company.
Was not once offered any other resolution. No in-store credit for a later date, not even anything off the lunch menu.
Horrible, horrible way to treat a customer paying these outrageous prices we pay today for mediocre unhealthy food. Unfortunately McDonalds is one of the few cheap options you have when you are low on cash and time. And this seems to be one of the ways they take advantage of that.
The mobile order FAQ say nothing about a pickup timeframe, only that you can place the order during breakfast hours.
The mobile order "Contact Us" selection for help also doesn't work. The form never submits because it requires a selection from a dropdown list that does nothing when you click on it.
My call to the 800 line was disconnected by the rep straight into the automated survey.
2nd call I was told you receive an email an hour or two after not receiving your orders when placed through the mobile app where you can request a refund.
I was then contacted by another manager who said that is not the case that I will still have to request my credit card company reverse the charge. I also was told this is not a franchise location this is a corporate owned restaurant which makes this experience even worse.
Zero stars. Thank you for taking advantage of me and making me jump through hoops for a simple refund McDonalds. You know most people won't. Horrible...
Read moreTerrible service every time I go, which has been over a dozen times since I live just a few blocks away. Today was the last straw, super greasy burgers, undercooked seasonless fries, flat pop, super stingy with everything from napkins, to cups of water and sauces. They are super slow and you have to wait for over 10 minutes and there is literally an army of people who work there.... not to mention my order has been wrong everytime and my best example is when I ordered a steak egg and cheese bagel but they gave me a bacon egg no cheese bagel... and the receipt was correct so they're clearly slow and cant read, plus extremely rude and they all speak to you like they're depressed and hate thier lives. I will never go back, in fact I will never go to mcdonalds again. I'm glad they can afford to remodel all thier locations but cant afford to maintain quality service. Over priced garbage.. burger king is my go to now..... I went back to McD for my girlfriend the other night and once again they always disappoint... my nuggets were old and stale and the burger clearly has a ton of onions and no pickles when the ticket on the burger clearly asks got no onions extra pickles. They have messed up my order...
