I usually don’t do reviews because I’m too busy eating but after 3 great visits, I might as well. For starters, I’m not a food critic or anything of that nature. I’m not a professional by any means. But what I am good at, is eating. Skirt steak tacos are my favorite. The classic carne asada tacos still have a spot in my heart, but these tacos just hit different. So far, the steak tacos have been hitting everytime, with some lime and salsa verde is like heaven, Perfectly juicy and perfectly spicy. The steak is also seasoned just enough to go back for more. I tried the chicken tacos for the first time today and I’m a huge stickler on the cut and quality. The chicken is diced small and seasoned immaculately. Juicy and packing flavor. The horchata, definitely top 3 I’ve ever had, and I’ve had alot. I gotta respect that they don’t add ice because I can’t be the only one that hates watered down horchata, or wishing that I had more. Tried the tamales for the first time as well. I’ll be honest, I’ve had better, but these hit when you’re having the craving. I wish they were spicier, but that’s ok, the taste was great! The churros… man oh man, every bite was as crispy and crunchy as the first. Definitely recommend. And last but not least, customer service. 10/10. I didn’t catch the guys name but curly hair with glasses, man, you’re great. I asked my questions and he answered. Remembered me from the first time I went in and welcomed me back. The atmosphere was just perfect. I recommend this spot. Great neighborhood, great vibes, great...
Read moreI was very excited about trying this new place out, especially because it received a lot of praise from the reviews. I was EXTREMELY disappointed with what I received. I ordered for delivery and after opening up the packages, seriously contemplated going to the location and asking for my money back.
My family and I tried the birria tacos, chicken burrito, and chicken torta. The burrito and torta were exactly the same thing: lettuce, tomato, untoasted bread, and chicken. The chicken was seasoned with maybe just salt. On the burrito way too much salt, and on the torta it was pure bland.
I'm not sure if this was a huge oversight and someone was just having a bad day or what. On the restaurant's menu it states that the torta and burrito both have beans, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, cheese, and sour cream. As mentioned before (attaching a picture of the torta as well) it was chicken, lettuce, and tomatoes. I mean, not even any sauce put on? (we did get 2 small containers of salsa though)
The birria tacos were OK at best. the beef was again, seasoned very poorly. The consome is the only thing that saved the tacos.
I don't write reviews but this could not be left alone.
Truly disappointed and if this was a mistake, I suggest you please talk to your kitchen staff. $10 for a 3-ingredient burrito that has no flavor is uncalled for.
I know you're a new restaurant but this is...
Read moreI totally recommend this restaurant. The gentleman in the front was very friendly, the ambiance of the restaurant was warm and I loved the decor on the walls(love quotes). The aesthetic feel to the restaurant is pleasing. Now for the food. We had a three steak taco dinner with a chicken tamale. The tacos were very good. Meat was tender and not chewy, nor did it have any fat in it. I did order extra condiments so was charged a little more for them, but that’s in many places. The tacos come with only cilantro and onion so anything else is extra (again like many other places). The rice and refried beans was the perfect amount as a side dish.
The green tamale was very good and not to spicy. We did have a chance to try their green sauce and that was good. Finished it off with bottled Coke and gotta say it hit the spot. We didn’t take pictures because we literally scarfed it down. Oh and the music playing makes your dining experience even better. I am big on service...
