While the food is good for the money, the speed of service is not so great. This was never an issue before they closed and re-opened. Not sure what changed so much to make it so much slower now. But overall it’s always been a decent experience. Until yesterday when we ordered carry out. We were quoted 20 min. When I arrived 30 min after we placed our order I was told that it was almost ready. I proceeded to wait for another 30 min for our order. I asked why I was quoted 20 min if it was going to take an hour and all that was said was “we got backed up.” Absolutely no form of apology or remorse for the situation was shown. I asked for a spicy mayo and was charged 55 cents. After waiting AN HOUR they wanted to nickel and dime me for FIFTY FIVE CENTS. Clearly this was too much for the host to process as he just starred at me when I told him that was a really bad business practice. At that point I asked to speak to a manager and let her know about the wait time, lack of apology, and charge for the mayo. It wasn’t about the money, it was the principle. She apologized and said the host was new. New. To being a human being who has any sense of apologizing?? She explained to him that when something doesn’t go right or a customer is upset you should always apologize. It was as if I was witnessing a mother teach her 4 year old. How has this grown man gotten through life without knowing this? She then looked at our ticket and said we had only waited for 30 min. I pulled up my phone to show her what time we placed the order, which did not match the time the ticket was put in. The host waited for a half hour before putting our order in after we had called. I asked him why he had bold-faced lied to me when I had originally arrived, as he had put our order in FOUR MINUTES prior yet told me our food was almost ready. He once again told me that he got backed up. No apology, no acknowledgement that he had messed up. She said that they would try to do better in the future but made no attempt to make the current situation right. Horrible customer service, but at least she did apologetic. I hope that my extra 55 cents really helps their bottom line, because clearly their customer service skills are going to drive away...

Their food is OK. I wouldn’t say bad but I wouldn’t say great. I just wonder why they keep their dining room closed. I wish the owners would sit down with a calculator and see how much money they’re losing per year and I’m sure they will find employees to work there and another complaint that I have I’ve seen funeral Directors with more personality than these people that answer the phone or When you pick up your food even before the dining room was closed. they still have all their plexiglass up tables keeping 6 feet away three guys in the dining room. Looking at their phones boxes, chairs and supplies everywhere. I’ll make this my last time I’ll drive to Lawrence Fish Market. I’m going down one star because I was there Friday and today is April 1 and I literally had the worst experience yet. I order some appetizers. Potstickers and fry calamari neither of them had flavor and the dipping sauce was just vinegar and soy sauce not only that I called in for early dinner. We had things to do that night so we had an early dinner. They told me 20 minutes I got there and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes...

This place was so AWFUL.. My husband and I are frequent sushi eaters. We typically go to Union sushi in the city, but we were by my parents house in Oriole Park. We decided to stop in for the sushi buffet. Me and my husband both got the sushi buffet for 19.99. I put a piece of my sushi on my husbands plate and our server comes up to our table and says there's cameras watching us and we couldn't do that ..when we said that we both got the buffet he turned around and walked away then walked up to the hostess and started flailing his arms. We couldn't even eat comfortably because of the fact that he stated cameras were watching us, completely awkward. He did not come back for about 15 minutes. I had to wave him down just to get the check. There was still a couple of pieces of sushi left on my plate and then he proceeded to say that he would have to charge me extra if there was any sushi left on my plate. There were no positives about eating at this restaurant! The food was less than mediocre, service was absolutely atrocious and I will never be coming back to this disgusting...

The sushi is excellent. They have an All-you-can-eat option all day, everyday. Prices differ by a few dollars between lunch (~$18) and dinner (~$22) hours. The sushi is very fresh. There are many delicious and flavorful rolls to choose from. The menu has many items, and I liked everything I tried. This place has a B.Y.O.B option which is great. There is a liquor store right next door. Parking is available in a lot outside. Seating may take a while, especially on weekends and during dinner hours. This place does get busy, but I believe it's worth the wait. The service was great. Restaurant is clean.

First time here and I must say that it was pretty outstanding...My waitress was helpful and funny...The sushi was fresh and tasty as all...The pricing was inline with similar places in the area that I've been to...In addition to buying one or two rolls you can have all you can eat!!! Obviously, if you can eat a number of rolls that head into the all you can eat stratosphere then that might be your best option... That's the option I chose and it was over the top yummy goodness, but then I couldn't move when I was done shoveling the food in my mouth...I'll be back...

Although I wish they still had their buffet option their to go sushi is really up to standards with other nice sushi places. I wouldn’t say A+, but everything was pretty darn near perfect, especially for being in a pretty random spot in Chicago area. My Nigiri pieces of sushi were well portioned and all of the fish was fresh. The rice was soft and chewy and slightly cool- the way it should be. I definitely recommend this place for those who have an itch for $2.00 Nigiri pieces.
