Read moreCompletely let down by everything today at The Blossom Cafe. Could be a slogan for you. 22 bucks for a Rueben with bacon on it and I don’t get what I ordered. Bacon, which I definitely got charged an inordinate amount for, was not on my sandwich. I would not even make a big deal about paying a dollar for bleu cheese dressing on the side and my brown fruit that was clearly not fresh if I got the sandwich I ordered. I have not gone here for a while, and you’re telling me I just somehow randomly got the one screwed up order and bad fruit? This must clearly be a normal thing. The old fruit is extremely alarming, especially when it is offered as a replacement for not being able to make soup. Were you not able to make bacon either? It is also extremely alarming that the person who answered the phone, when I asked to speak with a manager, put me on hold to go get the manager and then came back on the phone and said the manager was not there. How do you not know if the manager is there or not? Why is the manager not there on a Saturday morning? I tipped five bucks for no reason. Remind me never to do that again at this place. Actually, remind me to never go back. I was not going to ask for free food or a gift certificate or whatever. I wanted the manager to know what happened in real time so that no one else is disappointed. I could have gone to McDonald’s right down the road and spent five bucks on a chicken sandwich instead of getting this partial order. I can only imagine how fresh the fresh squeezed orange juice is. Lastly, I have heard female employees talking bad about me and my friends inside the restaurant, and I have gotten attitude and awful service from a male employee outside. Place has gone downhill in the two years that I have lived nearby. This is all a reflection of poor leadership from the managers and the decision to put profits over service. Will not be back ever again. No consistency, nothing to rely on. Poor, poor, poor experience. Soggy fries too. Just terrible. Go somewhere today other than The Blossom Cafe. There’s another...
Read moreMet a couple of friends here. I guess this is a place they frequent often and like a lot, so I was expecting it to be good. The service was good, and the place looked nice- they decorated for Christmas which made it look festive. That's the best I can say for this restaurant.
I thought it was way overpriced for bad food. I'm glad my friends treated me and I didn't waste my own money on this meal. I went basic and ordered 1 scrambled egg with fruit and an English muffin. The entire meal was bad. The mixed fruit was dried out and unripe. I ate here in December, and I understand that many fruits are out of season, but I wish the restaurant had done better about using fruit that taste decent no matter the season, like bananas. I ended up only eating 1 square each of cantaloup, honeydew melon, and pineapple. The English muffin seamed to be made from scratch in-house, but instead of being light, fluffy, and airy like good English muffins are, it was very dense and the flavor was horribly doughy. I only ate half of 1 slice. Lastly, my scrambled egg tasted like sulfur. I admit that maybe most people would not have been able to taste it, but while I love eggs I can be sensitive to the sulfur in them. For me, some eggs taste like they are supposed to while others taste heavily of sulfur. Whatever brand used at the Blossom Cafe had a heavy sulfur taste to them, so I managed only about three bites.
I pushed the food around on my plate a lot to look like I was eating, and I took the leftovers home so as not to offend my friends. But once I got home, the leftovers went straight into the trash. I hate being wasteful, so I normally make an effort to eat food even if it is so-so. But this meal was truly awful, and there was just no point trying to...
