I am truly blown away by Wonderplay & Coffee. From the moment you walk in, youâre greeted with warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, creating a space that immediately feels like a second home.
Iâve been following the evolution of this space from its early beginnings, watching it take shape through social media, but experiencing it in person is something entirely different. Itâs one thing to see pictures, but to walk into this thoughtfully designed space is to feel the love, care, and intention poured into every detail.
Trina and Scott were present throughout our visit, actively engaging with guests, supporting their team, and spreading joy in every interaction. Watching them work side by side with their staff and connect with families says so much about the heart and soul behind Wonderplay. This dynamic duo is the real deal.
My 6-year-old daughter didnât want to leave. We spent over five hours here, and she was still asking for more time. That alone speaks volumes. In a time when itâs hard to find places that hold a childâs attention for long, Wonderplay offers so much variety and stimulation that the hours truly fly by. Itâs the perfect blend of play, creativity, exploration, and comfort.
This space was clearly created with deep intention, love, and an understanding of what both kids and caregivers need. There is truly something for everyone, whether itâs imaginative play, sensory exploration, relaxing with a cup of coffee, or connecting with other families.
And speaking of coffee, the food and drinks are just as thoughtful as the space itself. I tried the vegan hash brown breakfast sandwich and a latte, and both were absolutely delicious. Chefâs kiss. No notes.
Honestly, I could go on and on. Wonderplay & Coffee is a rare gem and I feel so grateful to have experienced it. If youâre looking for a place where joy, connection, and creativity come together in the most magical...
Read moreThis place has a lot to learn about customer service.
I arrived around naptime on a Saturday and was allowed to order $30 plus worth of food before being told the place was closed for a private party. You try explaining that to an excited toddler.
There are 1 million signs at the door, so the one mentioning thereâs a private party completely blended in. Not to mention They took my food order for two meals!!
The nail in the coffin was the owner coming to speak with me, and not being remorseful or apologetic for their oversight. Mentioned that they posted online about being closed. Well, guess what, I checked your hours on Google and noâŚ. It did not say you would be closed at that time.
If your staff were more vigilant, or if you were actually checking in guests to make sure they were part of the party this wouldnât have happened.
I hope to have a better experience with yâall in the future until then my...
Read moreWonderplay is one of the best play cafes in Chicago, and I had so much fun here with my two-year-old son this week. The space is bright, welcoming, and clean. The staff members were friendly and kind. The lovely woman who registered us remembered my son's name as she made her rounds â it's the little things...
The main attraction in this play cafe is probably the large blue and green jungle gym. It has a very accommodating design, which allowed my young toddler to climb all the way to the top level and use slides with only occasional assistance from me (due to his age, I accompanied him through the adventure). We also really enjoyed the large room with the multi-tent camping area, trampolines, large cushion pit, toddler cars, blocks, etc.
Not pictured are the strawberry matcha latte and vegan cookies I had from the...
