BoomBozz Pizza & Watch Bar — Restaurant in Jeffersonville

So I was excited to try this place. I should give it a negative rating. The food was good is the only reason it is not 1 star across the board. From the moment we walked in, it was not a positive environment. To be a sports bar, you generally are greeted by someone with a smile, nope, not here. Then we got to the bar, and the bartender had ZERO personality and would not put her phone down. She grumpily asked what we wanted, and we replied it was our first time there and a roll of eyes, then she walked away. Still holding her phone, she came back a few minutes later and asked if we knew what we wanted. I ordered a beer, and my wife was still trying to decide, so she just requested water for the moment, once again a roll of the eyes. She brought me my beer, phone still in hand. Then she went to the end of the bar and leaned on it, looking at her phone. After a couple minutes, she brought my wife her water and asked what we wanted. My wife asked if she to taste a beer to which the bartender folled her whole head back, just a note phone still in hand, then got a small sample and handed it to me instead of my wife. My wife did order a beer, and we ordered an appetizer. When we told her it would be a bit before we ordered more food, she just spun around and walked. Went back to the end of the bar, looking at her phone. After a couple of minutes, she went to the screen, and from what I figured out, put our order in. I should note that the restaurant had maybe 20 total customers, of which there were only 2 in the bar area, more did come in later. So it taking 30 minutes to get bruechta was a bit long. We did order 2pizzasa. Funny enough, one came out the bartender carrying it in one hand phone in the other. Then she told us the other had dropped on the floor and they tried to fix it but couldn't so they were going to make another one. We finally got the other pizza. Like I said, I gave it 2 stars because the food was good. The service was worse than terrible. I have been all over and done reviews across this country. I must say this is in the top 5 of worst service ever. Not just us, I paid attention it was all the servers, no smiles, and very, what do you want attitude. One more note, the bartender, i guess, was the training person, at least, that is what her shirt said. I want to make it clear at no time did I see the bartender put her phone down even when she served other people or got drinks for the servers. My wife said we should give it one more try before writing it off as a no go, I am considering it, but I'm not sure. At this point, I can not recommend stopping here. I'm not trying to be rude but this was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had in a while.. We walked in and were asked to wait before being seated. There were roughly 7 open booths and 3 open tables. The tables were clean and one was set for our party of 6 but we were told we still had to wait due the server not being ready. This would have been fine except for the fact that the bench where customers can wait was covered in pizza boxes to be folded. We asked if we could be seated and we'd understand if we had to still wait on a server. We were told flat out no. When we asked why, the hostess did not ask anyone why, instead she rudely repeated the same statement, "He's not ready yet". We asked who he was and got the same response. We asked again if it was okay to sit just to wait and got the same rude response. No apology for the wait was offered. No estimated wait time was offered. Basically we were brushed off and completely ignored by the staff until she finally asked someone in the back if we could be seated to which the answer was yes. It seemed as though we were forgotten about by whoever told us to wait and until we prompted the hostess, she was just going to ignore us while we stood there. Our server was wonderful. However, the greeters / hostess staff seem to lack a fundamental ability to use their own head to think. I overheard things from both hostesses like "that's not my job" and general rudeness to customers. There were a couple other things that irked me about the hostess and generally I can let it go. I'm leaving this review because today, I can't. If asked what other things the hostesses did that bothered me, I'd explain. However, I'm typing this on my phone and want to move on.

The food was good otherwise. I'm not a fan of the red sauce but that's more my preference than it being actually good or bad. The cheesticks were okay but again, it came down to my preference as I wasn't a fan of something they seasoned them with. I'm sure they are good for someone who enjoys that kind of Italian style cheese stick. The server was also polite and expedient. The food came out plenty quick and everything tasted fine.

Overall, the hostess ruined this experiebce for me because I did not feel like my business was important to her. In general we stop at this restaurant on our way back north from Lights under Louisville each year. I'm not sure if we'll go back...

I have never been so upset and disappointed as we were last night. After being seated and getting our drink order taken and served we never saw our original server again. We waited over 30 minutes for our food and had to ask someone picking up our used plates for refills. There was a table by us where they were drinking a lot. The server who brought our drinks was obviously related to these people because he stayed at their table over 20 minutes and never returned to us. The female manager finally came over and we expressed our disappointment and she said sorry. That was it. We never felt listed to or did we feel they could care less. I also talked to the male manager and expressed our disappointment and he apologized but again that was it. We spent $65 and left very upset. The food was good once we got it but the blatant non-service ruined it.

*follow up!! Was just called right away by Judy and she was gracious, apologetic and assured me this would be rectified!! I’m so impressed with the quick response and we will give them another chance because their food is amazing!!!...
