THE TASTE OF THE FLORIDA PIT BOYS SMOKED BBQ — Restaurant in Jensen Beach

I was staying in the area at a nearby hotel for about a week. I was doing some internet searching for places to looking for seafood restaurants initially because of this area in Florida. I widened the search curiously and The Taste of Florida Pit Boys Smoked BBQ came up, and being a BBQ lover I looked into it further.

I've gone to a few seafood restaurants already and thought I would try Pit Boys for lunch. WOW. What a great discovery. I've had BBQ all over Illinois and other midwest states and in North Carolina, where I now live, and I must tell you, Taste of Florida is a crown jewel. I had the ribs sandwich, and need to say, you dont need the sauce he provides. The hickory smoke brown sugar rub he makes is mouthwatering delicious. If you order the ribs, at the end of the day, you'll have a stack of bones, a dirty napkin, and a cup of unused BB sauce. DDDDelicious.

Rich, the owner/BBQ master, is a great fellow who's been at it a long time. He's friendly, personable and a king of the BBQ cuisine. A person once you meet him, you'll never forget him.

I will always come back whenever I'm here in Florida.

Around lunch time the debate ensued, Mexican or BBQ. It was time for some Q. Ratings on Yelp led us here. The little trailer with detached smoker gave me hope. At the window Richard, the owner, handed us a menu and told us all he had left was baby back and spare ribs, that he was sold out of everything else. He added that we could phone order in advance to guarantee getting what we wanted. Another good sign. When he gave the customer ahead of us his order, he offered up the "rules". Before you leave, you must take a bite, without sauce. If you like it, you buy it. If you don't, hand it back. Another good sign. Being indecisive we ordered a slab of each. Following the rules we took bites of each. The meat was tender, moist, smoky, and slightly sweet. Quite simply, they were amazing. We went around the corner to get beverages and ate in the parking lot. I dipped my ribs into the sauce which enhanced the flavor. The sauce is sweet, so for my palate I just had small dip. Always always on point. Never a dull moment always ready to speak to us. Great advisor. I think any thing Mr. Richard touch in the food area 😋 would turn out delicious 🤤 man people hide ya meat or better yet get up early let Pit boys hook ya up. Food is always consistent and me as a food lover is one of the best things about this best spot that will soon be the best attraction for food. Blessings don't forget to stop by when you're in Port St Lucie. Make sure to call ahead as people outside of our town buys as well. I was in Sebastian needing food lady took me to 14bones not bad when we left I said it was ok and a guy from Coco Beach, FL heard me talking long story short he said he drove from Coco just to go to FLORIDA Pit Boys. Im like I know it's good but Coco to PSL just for ribs and chicken. Mr. Richard got the treasure coast on lock. It's nice meeting different people who rave about your hometown Pit Boys....
