We are here for the Chick Peas! We ah straight Veggggannnz lol
Short and sweet ... we ordered a 16oz serving of Chick Peas that came with x4 units of Naan the size of a lady palm. That's it.
Once again ... Chick Peas and Naan
$22 End.
When a food truck charges you like they pay Manhattan brick and mortar rent. No matter what the operational expenses are, $22 for chick peas and naan that are sourced and made in bulk cannot only be justified as SAVAGE greed and having zero regard for your customers capacity of knowledge about food.
People can live with paying above market prices for exceptional. They will scorn the experience if it is ORDINARY. These chick peas along with the naan are NOT extraordinary enough in taste or portion size to command $22.
We will not be going back to this vendor. Nor will we post their info on the bulletin boards of our numerous facilities.
That said ... if you are in the Chick Pea yummie lane ... try Punjab on Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn ... it's worth the trip. World Class Chick Peas and Naan for $7 (same portion size). We have been sending our entire client base to them for over 15 years! This is a chick pea experience for chick pea...

The flavors instantly took us back to home-cooked meals—rich and flavorful. We enjoyed every bite so much that we came back the very next day and ordered again before heading back home!
Their kothu parotta, biriyani, dosa, and chana curry were absolutely outstanding—each dish packed with depth, freshness, and just the right spice. You can truly feel the passion behind the cooking.
If you’re anywhere nearby, don’t miss Chennai Flavors. It’s more than just a food truck—it’s a taste of home on wheels. We’re already looking forward to...
Read moreChennai flavors offers a homely food experience, and probably one of the best, most authentic, fresh South Indian food I've had in Jersey City (especially the coconut chutney). The truck is extremely clean, and they ensure separation between vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, which is quite important, especially to vegetarian and vegan people. I had Masala Dosa and Veg Biryani, both of which were amazing. Also the prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes they serve, again probably the best in JC. Would definitely go here...
