I ordered the Max's anniversary bundle worth $72.00 + tax + tip totaling to almost $80.00. It's just sad that Kare-kare was too salty, 5 pcs of beef, 1 medium length string beans. Kare-kare lacked eggplants, bokchoy, tripe. They changed the way they fried the "famous Max's friend chicken" it was too oily & tasted like brine, we Filipinos don't brine our fried chicken. Crispy pata was thankfully not salty, the pancit canton was thankfully close enough to the one you can get from Philippines. Lastly, I didn't even give a review on previous order pertaining to the Chopsuey I ordered which was mediocre at best. The Chopsuey they gave me at that time had reddish color when of course Chopsuey has white color in it with tons of veggies & meat & seafood. That Chopsuey had limpy veggies & tasted like Chinese Food more so than Filipino food, I would rather eat FILIPINO FOOD THAN CHINESE FOOD so I was livid when I was given Chopsuey that didn't taste like Filipino Chopsuey. Additionally, I requested to be given a courtesy side dish of tomatoes that would go well with Crispy Pata the young adult who answered the phone said it can only be done if I dine in...what's the diff? I mean I paid more than what people would probably order if they dine in. Just because I opted for a take out, you can't give me slices of tomatoes after investing $80 in your restaurant? It's not the kid's fault she was just relaying orders but the management has to change the way they keep customers esp. customers that would drop $80.00 in one take out. A lot of people right now don't even wanna eat out because of the economic landscape we're in...at least make me feel like you value me by giving 4-5 slices of tomatoes, this wouldn't hurt your business if you...

We came here for dinner on February 14th at 8:30 PM while visiting from Canada. Before arriving, we called to confirm the closing time and were told they close at 9 PM and that we could come in as late as 9. When we called again to make a reservation for 8:30 PM, the person who answered seemed hesitant and annoyed, saying, “But we close at 9.” We had to explain that we were just told otherwise by someone else. The staff should be more consistent with their communication to avoid confusion.

When we arrived, a staff member immediately told us, “You better hurry because we’re closing.” That was unwelcoming, especially since they had already accepted our reservation. While we were checking the menu, our server kept interrupting with recommendations, making it difficult to focus. We appreciate suggestions, but there’s a way to do it without being pushy.

Additionally, we overheard another staff member loudly saying things like, “I’m not cooking any more food” and “I just washed the dishes.” It was clear this was meant for us to hear, which was unprofessional and unnecessary. To make matters worse, another employee scolded our child for touching the glass when she wasn’t causing any damage. I get that they’re closing and have their duties to finish, but they shouldn’t forget that we’re still customers. There’s no need to scold us for smudging the glass—wait until we leave, then handle your closing tasks. Sorry, not sorry.

Overall, the experience felt rushed and unwelcoming. The staff seemed irritated and uninterested in providing good service. Management should consider hiring employees who actually enjoy their job and treat customers...

I came here to eat with my partner at around 2 pm. While we were waiting for our server to come to our table, another group was seated. We waited for a few minutes and saw that our server was about to come to our table when he attended the group that was seated after us first. When he finally reached our table, there were no greetings and it was just straight to “you guys ready to order?” . After placing our order, our server disappeared and only came out when our order was ready. No complaints about the food though but our server never bothered to check up on us during our meals or refilled any of our drinks. I had to get another server’s attention because I couldn’t find our initial server. My boyfriend and I both ordered a combo meal which supposedly came with caramel bar per the menu. Midway through the meal, I realized that we were given leche flans and when I asked where the bars were, we were told that they didn’t have it. I wouldn’t have had a problem had I known prior to ordering that there was an item that was not available. The whole experience at this place was just frustrating and unpleasant. I somewhat felt a little bit discriminated because of how young my boyfriend and I were compared to the usual crowd that was in the restaurant. We were so uncomfortable that we left immediately after finishing our meals because we just wanted to get out of that place.

TLDR: service was horrible, there were no greetings or any good interaction with our server since he disappeared into the kitchen 95% of the time...

We were here just last night to have dinner. We ordered Lumpiang Fresh (Ubod) for appetizer, Whole chicken (Sarap to the bones!), Classic Pork sisig (a little spicy and too much oil in it), Lechon Kawali (one of our favorite!), Sinigang na salmon, Tofu sisig (doesn't taste like the real tofu sisig in the Philippines) and a large order of plain rice (good for 4 to 5 people) for our main entree :p We were soooo full :9 ofcourse we enjoyed the food! But wait!!! Remember what they always say... that there is always room for Dessert ^_^ So for our Dessert, we ordered Halo-Halo with ube ice cream on top and Turon a la mode with Corn Ice cream on the side. (DELISH!). We also bought the caramel bars pack of 6 for $7 something plus tax. Honestly, I was kinda disappointed with their Caramel Bars. I think $7 is a little expensive for 6 small pcs. For the size and the taste... I will not buy this again. When it comes to the place... it is clean, waiters were attentive and friendly, restrooms are also clean and tidy. If anyone is planning a party, they also have a small funtion room located at the 2nd floor, where you can have your party. I'm not really sure but I think the room capacity for that is 20-30 persons. For the parking... you can park at the parking lot located just near the resto (Max's side), or metered street side parkings. Make sure to check the signs on which days and time you can park for free ^_^
