I was just there last night (4/17/2024) celebrating my daughter’s bday. The food was great, but when we asked for the waiters to come by our table to sing her happy birthday, NO ONE came…even though we asked TWICE. First, when we had just gotten there and the second time right after we finished eating. Total disappointment. But that was just the beginning.
My daughter forgot her purse at the restaurant and didn’t realize it until the morning when she was getting ready for school. So I waited until they opened the place (11am) and I gave them the description of the purse, it is a black YSL purse (designer) and they said that they didn’t see it and that they would have to ask the night manager to see if they had put it in the safe. I left my name and number, no one called me back. I called again around 2pm and this time they told me that they didn’t have it and that it wasn’t in the safe & that they had been “so busy” that they didn’t get a chance to look at the cameras. I ended up going straight there after work, determined to get answers, then when I walked in they had all but TWO customers/tables only, but they were “SO BUSY”. Then while waiting at the main door for the “manager”, my daughter happened to look under their front desk and her purse was there! Was it there the whole time?? Were they trying to keep it because it’s a designer purse?? My daughter grabbed her purse and walked out super aggravated. I stayed behind and waited until I spoke to the manager because I wanted to tell him myself that we had found and I wanted to see his reaction, and he was STILL trying to tell me that “they didn’t have it and that they hadn’t had a chance to look at the cameras”. That’s when I told him that my daughter had found her purse right behind their main counter! What you mean you didn’t have it? It was RIGHT THERE! After that, he didn’t know what to say anymore and I just walked out. Ridiculous people! I’m glad my daughter looked back there! Otherwise it might’ve stayed “lost”.
This was a previous review I had left a year ago:
I was there last Thursday night (4/14/23) and although they were not packed, we did not get good service. Our waitress would disappear for long periods of time, we had to chase people around to bring us our check and nobody could help us, they kept basically throwing us around from server to server and no one wanted to check us out. We ended up going to the front desk and the girl there told us under her breath and not even looking at us that she was not able to check us out there, I made a comment and even said "Look, we've BEEN trying to pay for over 15 minutes now, should we just assume the meals were free and leave??" ONLY THEN someone from the back came and finalized our bill at the front registrar where the girl said she "couldn't check us out at". WORST SERVICE and its a shame because their food is actually...
Read moreLet me preface by saying that my husband does not care for Seafood. LoL. We are in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl and there are not many places open that we usually frequent for dinner. I was trying to find somewhere open and came up with Bluewater Seafood. He agreed to give it a shot since they do have other things that are not seafood available for meals. We were sat immediately even though the parking lot was packed and the restaurant was pretty busy. The service was very timely. Our server was very knowledgeable, attentive and was happy to answer all of my crazy questions.
We ordered the boudin balls as appetizers. They were AMAZING! So so delicious! I ended up doing the BYOB (Build Your Own Boil) with a combination of crawfish, shrimp and snow crab legs. I was quite full and the food was delicious. My husband got the shrimp and sausage Alfredo and he was raving about it, as well. He loved the boudin balls so much though that he ended up requesting a to go box and ordering more boudin balls. Ha! He ordered a Golden Margarita and I ordered an off menu Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini. Both were very yummy! It was a hefty bill, but we don't usually skimp when it comes to eating out and, to be perfectly honest, we spent more at a little while in the wall taco place the night before, so in comparison, it wasn't that bad. We made it out spending less than $100 WITH tip.
The atmosphere was great! Very lively and we were thoroughly enjoying the music they were playing. There was an obnoxious table sitting next to us, but the man was also kind of entertaining, so all in all, it wasn't too bad. We have been there before but under different circumstances and with other people. It was definitely a much more pleasurable experience this time around just...
Read moreI come to this location about once or twice a month. Yesterday 12/19/24 I had my appetizer (Boudain balls which are very good by the way) came out within 5 minutes, after I finish my appetizer I place my main order. My server Jeanellie was very attentive and courteous, but when I ordered my main meal it took almost 30 minutes before it came out. Jeanellie had stop by earlier to let me know that my food would be coming soon, but when she checked on me again to see if they had brought out my food she felt bad and went to check to see what was going on. She came back embarrassed for the delayed and told me that my order had been given to another table by accident and that she will get my food out as quickly as possible.
I could have complained rightfully so, gotten mad and request to talk to the manager but instead Jeanellie took accountability, did not put blame on anybody, apologized several times and brought my food herself. I told her I understand and that I know it wasn’t her fault (the reason I said that is because I had many friends in the industry back in my days and I understand) and that I’m good.
After I finish my food she brought my tab, gave me a discount for the inconvenience and apologized again .
So if any managers from Bluewater see this, please make sure you praise this young lady Jeanellie for taking action right away and preventing a manager from dealing with upset customers. These are the type of workers you need to reward for taking their jobs seriously.
Thank you again Jeanellie for your great service and keep up...
