I used to come to this buffet before it was closed and now reopened. No idea if it's the same owners but the new interior is very spacious open and a really modern buffet vibe. They have a pretty good variety of the typical buffet fare, I was surprised by the Spanish food items - Menudo/Enchiladas and things of the like. But it's nice of them to try to add other variety outside of the "kid food" american options like pizza and nuggets. They had THREE types of wings which were all pretty good. We had come on a Monday around 4 so just in time for dinner rush. Which is cool because they have Hibachi with all the fixings and you can even get just steak like Golden Corral does after 4pm. They also have a decent sushi bar but truthfully I never trust those 🤷🏾‍♀️. Salad bar is salad bar, they should definitely label their dressings though, its not a huge inconvenience but with similar dressings bleu cheese/ceasar/ ranch its nice to know what you're pouring.

Now to the quality of the food. Since it was 4 and I'm a buffet expert- it's dinner transition so I figured by the time we got to second plate the food would be refreshed. The lunch rush items stale and dry at this point should have been removed. But they waited for the trays to empty COMPLETELY. So for the first 30 minutes almost after we arrived I was waiting for them to refresh the hot items. I don't like that , I don't want to go back for stale scraps of lunch remnants. However when they did replace the food everything was really good. I enjoyed the baked fish twice, and the chicken and broccoli as it's my favorite dish. I also have to recommend the Kung pao chicken and Twice Cooked Pork. They are generous with seasoning where some places the flavor just feels like ALL salt. The steak option is simply sprinkled with some lemon pepper steak rub and if I'm being honest wasn't seasoned/coated properly for it to actually make a difference. The grill technique is off but it's cheap steak at a buffet so what can you really expect. We spent about $39 after food and drinks (non-water)- 2 adults & 1 child so imo this is great pricing. The guy who bussed / waited on us was really helpful , stayed on top of refills and brought napkins without being reminded. Overall a 6-7/10 experience, they could definitely increase the hot option variety. Better food rotation and get a grill master for them steaks. They have...

My first time here and unfortunately probably my last. Walking in, the restaurant looks beautiful! Everything is clean and bright. Came on a Saturday around 1pm the buffet itself was full, plenty of food in trays.

Now the food…everything seemed to lack any flavor. Seasoning here is mediocre at best. The vegetables are undercooked and very hard. Tried a little of every meat they had and honestly the best one was the orange chicken. Everything else was a little just not up to par. A decent variety of food, but not a decent variety of flavor.

The steak is served all day on weekends, the steak is very thin, but the guy making the steak offers two and he is AMAZING at grilling the steak. For such a thin steak I asked for medium rare with low expectations, but he made the steak perfectly. The man deserves a raise lol.

Sushi was made beautifully, however, was very heavy on the cucumber. Seems like the person making them doesn’t really know how to make sushi properly, everything having cucumber is a little stereotypical and low key a lil racist. The Philadelphia roll was made the a block of cream cheese on top of the roll when it should have just been inside. Also, sushi with iceberg lettuce inside? Someone needs to be fired lol kidding of course, but please stop that.

I didn’t get any selections from the fruit or desert sections, so I won’t critique on that.

Our server was amazing, she was very attentive. Didn’t have to ask for refills on our drinks and she came by to check on...

So recently I've been seeing this Brand New Chinese Buffet in Houston that is from the West coast Lin's Grand Buffet. I decided to go there. As I got closer the area looked familiar in which it turns out that Lin's is now open at the location of a former restaurant I frequented. Let me tell you the place is Huge. Offering Fresh Sushi, Mongolian BBQ, Steaks after 4pm, Salad Bar, Ice cream scoops, different desserts and fresh Chinese food. Everything was delicious including the sushi but, no Huge selection from the su chef. As far as the Mongolian BBQ it was prepared infront of me with my choice of veggies n meats. Now the meats are not frozen like other restaurants do plus its ground up some for better handling . You have three choices of flavoring Chili oil, Garlic & Fresh Butter but, be aware if you don't like or sre possibly alergic to certain sauces notify the cook cause he has them next to him by the giant wok and he adds what he wants. You pay for each person's plate and drink before sitting down and you can add an amount for the tip but, they will give you tip amount in cash so you can decide how much you wish to give your server at the end then you keep the rest. The architecture in the place is superb & so is the service. If I have a negative is that since they just opened in Nov. They need to clear out older fried fish before bringing out the fresh also the Ice Cream freezer is set too high so scooping it out takes some effort. I highly recommend this...

The only really good thing was the cream cheese wontons. I sampled a bit of everything I could, due to food allergies for what I skipped. Food was overcooked and under seasoned. Even dishes you expect to have some spice was bland. It was overpriced. The crab legs were mostly water but you have to ask for them because they hide them in the crawfish and people pick through and just leave the crawfish. Also be sure to ask for the crackers. You're going to need them. The steak was very poor quality. It was cooked how I asked so props for that but if you're a steak lover you know a good steak doesn't need sauce and I had to use A1. This food critic wanted to try something new and sadly this will be the one and only time going.
