Five Guys — Restaurant in Johnson City

One of the friendliest places in the Southern Tier! I walked into Five Guys in JC today and mentioned to one of the staff, which may have been the Manager, that this was my first time at Five Guys, and he turned toward all of the other workers and announced that I was a newbie to Five Guys. Him and the entire staff gave me an unexpected, but much appreciated, warm and friendly welcome. I hadn't felt that welcome since I had dined at a Waffle House in South Carolina! He then told me that my meal was on the house! Yes, their burgers are good, but their online ordering leaves much to be desired. According to the website, online orders are ready for pick up in 7 minutes (depending on your locale I would think) or at another time if desired. I placed my order and drove to the local "5Guys". My burger was ready, but, apparently, they don't start the fries til you say you are there. You are then put in line with previous fry orders being processed. This led to me arriving home with a cold burger since I had to wait for 4 orders of fries (watching their burgers be assembled while I waited). i had a very bad experience with Ben at the Johnson city five guys. He told me I could get my food if I made it by 10 and I was there at 10:05 and I recorded the conversation where he said he was throwing out the food because it was after 10. Then he laughed and me as he told me that I should have been there sooner. On the phone he said he was going to have the food. The fact that he said he was going to throw out the food and laughed about it after telling me that I could come get it that he was for sure making it.
