Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings — Restaurant in Joliet

I had the cheese frys with the cheese on the side(I hate mushy fries) and the old school steak. The food had great flavor but there was more bread than meat onion and cheese. The bread was soft and tasted fresh, there was just too much of it for my liking. I asked for the frys to be crispy but what I got was browned fries not crispy, and they weren't salted. Which is good for some people, but I love flavor and that means salted. All in all, I was pleased with flavor and I'd come back. The service was exceptional 👏🏼. Sandeep was kind answered my questions and smiled the whole time while looking me in my face.

3/7/25 Came in for second time ever and again I was sold on the old school sandwich by the gentleman Jay at the register. He was extremely welcoming very kind and took very good care of me would I recommend this place? Absolutely 💯! When you go in here, because of my review I would ask you kindly to tell them Carrie sent you. They offer referral programs giving discounts for Word of Mouth marketing it was my first time actually sitting in the restaurant and it's a very cute comfortable atmosphere. Seriously I recommend the old school probably because I'm a little partial seeing as though it's the only thing I've eaten so far with the cheese fries but when you get something right the first time why would you change anything? Thank you so much Jay, for exceeding my customer service expectations from a small restaurant. Hands down...

Excellent decision in stopping at this Charley's Cheesesteak and Wings location in Joliet on Larkin Avenue! The service was fantastic! The guy at the register was helpful, patient and kind!! He made sure to ask all the right questions so I received my food exactly how I wanted it! The food is top of the line! Everything was so fresh!! The bread was so fresh it seemed like it just got out of the oven! The meat, veggies and cheese were perfect and tasted delicious! The sandwich was nicely loaded for a very reasonable price!! The wings were good. I wasn't expecting that, due to so many of these wing places being expensive and tasteless, then here at this small cheesesteak/wings place they were good and reasonable. The Korean Barbecue sauce is yum and the sweet Teriyaki was great too. Fry's were awesome. All the food was at the appropriate temperature and tasty!! To top it off, the manager/owner (not sure) came out of the kitchen and talk to us at the table to find out our opinion of the food and service. Let's get over there and show this place how badly we need them to stay!! They care about their customers and are serving excellent food for reasonable prices!! Ordered 20 wings with four flavors. Everything was all thrown about in the boxes can’t even tell what flavors are what. Missing the sauces that I paid for on the side. Talked to the woman who answered the phone who proceeded to tell me that one of the flavors I ordered (Thai chili) is “discontinued, I think” so they just gave me a different flavor instead. I have gotten this wing flavor at another store so not sure what the issue is. Either way I asked them why they didn’t communicate with me and ASK me what flavor I would like instead of just throwing whatever they want to in there. Without saying anything she put the phone down and then the supposed GM picked it up and I had to re-explain it all over again to which he responded that “corporate” told them to use Korean BBQ instead because it’s “basically the same thing.” (Which it’s definitely not.) Anyways he did offer to replace the order at the end of the conversation but I won’t be going back there because of the way they attempted to handle this problem.
