Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Joliet

I come to this TSC all the time and I feel like my experience is always good. In the past there was one male employee who is was not very friendly. But other than him everyone else is very friendly. There are three employees here that are my favorite...I dont know their names but whenever I see them I always excited to go in. I am allergic to alot of things so I have to get everything modified and some restaurants and establishments are rude to me based upon but it's not my fault take it up with God. Anyway lol, I have to get only a chocolate and yogurt smoothie and with my smoothie bowl it can only be yogurt granola and peanut. Each time these three employees make it for me with no problem no questions ask and they always do it soo friendly. The one guy who makes my smoothie; always hands me a cup of ice because he knows I need it and he does it with a smile eveyrtime. The girl and the guy who make my smoothie bowls always fills them up for me since I dont get anything else on them. I appreciate these three soo much and it makes me want to come back. There was even another time when I was in there and this lady came in and got two cups of ice (they literally have the best ice) and the guy gave them to her with no problem. This review comes on my 2nd visit, which is so unlike the first. Strange how things turn bc the 1st visit would have had a better review. The two biggest factors were not met here. First, though the cashier was polite nd seemingly willing to be of service, something went wrong with the full delivery of service. I visit TSC regularly nd anyone else who does knows that most cafes will bring ur food/drink to you after it's prepared. On this visit..didn't happen with me. In fact, my food wasn't even announced at first, though I gave my name for the order when asked. I only knew my food was ready after another customer actually grabbed it thinking it was probably his as the person just threw it onto the pickup counter in front of the other customer who again then felt it was for him. After reading the stick on label he realized it was not his, told the cashier who then called my name. I wasn't paying attn to any of it but the customer out of respect, apologized, saying he thought it was his bc it was put there in frt of him. Not good at all. Meanwhile, when I dug in, the food was sloppy nd poorly prepared....

I've been coming here since they opened since I work right next door at Tony's, and man... these guys never disappoint. Sam, Roselynn, and Miguel are the main ones I see and I'm super grateful to have such nice people working there. Not to over do it, but yeah, they are the best of the best. Always welcoming and speedy with my order. Ignoring how this is my lunch break, they are highlight of my day whenever I go. Oh, and the smoothies are amazing (almoat forgot to talk about the food haha). Highly recommend this place for all you Smoothie...
