I went to this location tonight, Sun Sept 5 (about 7:45pm), as online stated they closed at 10 pm. Upon arrival, there was about 4 cars in line. One car proceeded to the window, stopped and then floored it out of the drive-thru. The car behind me, drove around me and drove off as well. I pulled up to the speaker and a worker asked in an irritated voice if I wanted to try the $30 Family Feast, then proceeded to tell me what all comes in it. I responded, no thank you and placed my order. Then silence. I said hello multiple times over a period of probably 3 minutes. When I didn't receive a response, I pulled up to the window. I could hear someone laughing on the other side of the building and saw a worker at the computer at their front counter. I drove around, the other person behind me still at the speaker, and saw two workers, male and female, standing outside chit chatting. I asked what was going on, as again I was acknowledged in the drive-thru and asked about ordering. A young woman yelled back "No! We are closed at 7 pm!" I stated that I was just taking my order and it says 10 pm online. She screamed back "I don't care THERE IS A SIGN". Mind you I looked on the speaker box, on the menu and the drive up windows for a sign as someone asked for my order than completely ignored me. She proceeded to scream at me and honestly I yelled back because I was very upset. All she had to do was state they were closing early from the beginning. Instead she asked for my order in an irritated voice and then disappeared. Anyone would be upset at that, especially when I saw her leave out the door through the drive-thru window proceeded by her laughing. If I owned this establishment, I surely wouldn't want someone like that working for me - completely...
Read moreThe lady in the drive thru was hard to understand and they were getting frustrated with me because I couldn’t understand. Then when I pulled up to the window I said “just to clarify..!!!” The lady then puts her finger up didn’t communicate and shuts the window on me. So I felt that was very rude and unprofessional as she speaks in her microphone all I can hear is staff laughing! Very loud laughter and then a woman comes up I think maybe a manager and she assists me she was kind but felt like she had an attitude when I wanted to make sure I was getting clarification on what I ordered. But I’m confused as to why I couldn’t make my mash potatoes a large with my order she said you have to order a large mash potatoes separately which is odd. But I’m giving a 2 star rating for the over all experience I had. Rude, and unprofessional staff today. And also they didn’t even include silverware with my food that’s another thing I would like to leave a restaurant or any fast food place with a spoon or fork on the go. I did not have one in my bad. Make that two bags cus I had to make another drive in the drive thru for separate mash potatoes when I could of saved a trip and got it...
Read moreUpdate 10/31/22 : went Saturday, Oct 29th, and got a box. First time in a long time, but the biscuits were amazing! They were light, fluffy & fully raised! A tad dry, but they're biscuits. With butter & honey it was the best biscuit I've had in the Joliet, Shorewood, Plainfield, Crest Hill area in YEARS! I could of just ate 2 of those biscuits & nothing else & been happy. Instead we got overcooked tenders, & watery cole slaw, but damn the biscuit was still so good. 💯 Lol. Gave extra star for that biscuit. Can you tell I love a good biscuit!?
People don't realize there's an art to making good biscuits. You have to add the leavening agents pretty accurately or you'll get a unraised biscuit that's tough, instead of light & fluffy. And do not over knead them or they'll be like hockey pucks, which restaurants in the area normally serve. (Especially Popeyes)
Whomever made biscuits the other day should be praised! Only wish I had taken a picture, but it looked so good we both inhaled them! 🤪😛😝🥰
Older review Got a bowl.... So I gotta say is bland, not full. Almost all potatoes. I'd rather have a $1 Banquet chicken pot pie from the...
