I am so glad we finally have an Indian restaurant in jonesboro that serves authentic Indian food . There is only one other Indian restaurant in town and we stopped going to that one ever since the new management took over . The food there used to be alright prior to management change but the last couple of times we tried , both the food and service was so bad . So we just stopped going there and ever since missed not having a good Indian restaurants . We have tried thrice in Bombay kitchen now and the food was good all the 3 times . The vegetarian starters (we only tired vegetarian ) was really good . We tried paneer chilli , dahi sev puri , and samosa chat. They were all great. And the biriyani was great too . It wasn’t too spicy to a point where it burns your stomach but was so flavorful . we have tried Indian food in few of best restaurants in NY and DC and surprisingly we found the taste to be comparable to those, which to be honest I did not expect since those were high end professional curated recipes. And we tried thali , which you find on menu for lunch . And thalis were really good . The great quantity for the price . We sometimes fly to big cities in north east just to try good Indian food and we always hoped to have similar quality food in town . And I am glad we do now. When we first went in to try , we thought this would be just like any other Indian restaurant down south. This by far beats any Indian restaurant in Memphis too in terms on authenticity...
Read morePlace just opened up but I unfortunately have to share this experience. Upon arrival, I got water provided and proper service. As I was drinking my water, I was stopped by the person I was with to find out that there was a bug (looked like a fly) in my drink. Service was not around for a while but apologized and disappeared with the drink (have picture). Finally, as we are getting food, she arrived with a water replacement and left it as that. I ordered the Chicken Vindaloo and upon eating that, I had the loudest bite from what was bone left in the chicken, thus damaging my teeth and hurting throughout the meal. After all of these issues, they charged full price and left not even half of a sorry and disappeared when they could. Do not recommend this. Go...
Read moreOne of the best food experiences I've had in a long time and definitely the best Indian you can get in Jonesboro! We were seated immediately and our server Sujata was kind and polite; we asked about the lunch special and she went over it with us. Everyone at the table ended up getting the vegetarian lunch special. The lunch hours are 11am-3pm, everyday. The vegetarian special includes 5 curries, rice, naan, papad, pakora, and dessert. It was $13, if you wanted the meat options it was $15. It was such a good deal and a great way to try multiple dishes. The staff were great and very helpful and the decor was spot on. HIGHLY recommend this place if you are looking for a great lunch deal...
