A joke of an establishment.

Let me start off by saying how rude, incompetent, aggressive, and ignorant the owner is firstly with extremely poor hygiene might i add.

Some friends and i went to Pier 88 yesterday 6/6/2024 to get food. This was my first time eating there as i was really excited which later turned into a regret I'll never make again. All of us experienced extremely poor quality service and food. I was hesitant because of all of the many altercations that had transpired there. Nevertheless, i heard word to mouth that the food was pretty good and i'm always one to try it out myself. So i ordered 6 extra hot wings with the combo. Upon getting my order and trying a wing i told my friends that my food didn't taste fresh nor was it hot. So the waitress we had seemed to be a little annoyed by us addressing all of our concerns of our service however i still stated that my food wasn't fresh and id like either a remake or discount. She offered me a discount and my friend due to someone giving her food to another table and her having to wait an hour after she had already placed it. So i'm under the impression that i'm going to be discounted so all is well, I'll take the food home reheat it no problem because at least they addressed my unsatisfactory of the quality and service i had received right? WRONG! Upon going to pay for my order the discount was not put on and i was informed that the owner told the waitress since itself happy hour we cannot get discounted for their incompetence and poor service. So after stating you can remake it but i am not paying for this without a discount of some sort, the owner begins yelling at me and cursing. So i kindly place my food down and inform him that he can have it the majority of the food was still there it was barely touched and i am not paying for low quality food. He then chased me out to my car yelling taking pictures of me and got in my face. I was in shock of how malodorous the odor from his mouth smelled that i immediately stepped back and informed him that he cannot yell at me and for lack of better terms, breathe smelled of an unpleasant and foul odor. He then says " you waste food you pay" so i said " no sir you can discount it or the food will be sitting there at your table". He then calls the police and so did i and i informed them that he was elevated in tone and hostile and i did not know what to expect from him. The operated inform me to stay on the line until police arrived i did as instructed. The officer tried to come to a peaceful agreement to remake the order or discount and the owner declined. Not to mention he up charged me. My order on the menu was 5.88 and the bill was $16. No problem but at this point it was the principle of the matter. I am no criminal band which i do not care. But FYI this is not a safe environment for children nor do they care of the quality of your food, and the manager is extremely unstable and in my very own opinion unsuitable to run a facility of any kind and honestly should be in a mental facility himself. Let me start by saying the food was excellent.It was the service that was atrocious.It was the attitude of the wait staff the people that met you at the door the people at the bar making your drinks that was Terrible! We arrived at four thirty In the afternoon on a saturday we told the front Desk persons that we would sit at the bar.Because no one was at the bar.There were two waitresses at the bar. The Hostess set us set a four top next to the bar. We sat there and sat there and sat there before. Anybody came by 2 give us a drink? Anything finally. Our server arrived took our order. We asked for 2 drinks. We asked for 2 appetizers and we sat there. And we sat there 4 guys came in to the bar. Sit down at the bar, got served their drinks and their appetizers before our waitress ever came back and when she did come back, she brought her appetizer, but still no drinks. No water no anything. So we had to eat the chips and salsa that they brought and are appetizers. Before we ever got a drink and I said to the waitress.Where are our drinks?Well, the bar has to open a new keg for his beer. Theres nothing i can do. So we waited and we waited and we waited.And we waited and we were done with our appetizers before our drinks ever arrived.My husband's beer was warm and my margarita was horrible no ice no salt. We finally got our food. The food was wonderful. I'm not complaining about the food at all. We had to ask for salt again twice before we could get it. Then my husband asked for another beer. The waitress walked past us past the bar into the back with a girlfriend. Laughing it up came back out with chips and sauce for another table waled past us twice more and finally, my husband said to her, you know what? Just cancel the beer. So first the service, when we arrived we were of course asked the usual question, booth or table. My girlfriend and I always want a booth, just our preference. The hostess told us it would be a minute to clear one, none of the booths had anything on them. Ok, still not a reason for a 2 star, but I’ll get to that. Ordered the pier 88 seasoning and medium. Food came out bland. The water was literally separating from the color from the seasoning. It was like the steamed the food in water then poured over some seasoned water because they forgot. The waitress threw the plates down and the bucket and said there’s some stuff in there. She walked away never to return and we asked someone for her. It would still be another 10 minutes before she came. When she did, I asked for the ticket. This picture is what she saw. I ate one piece of crawfish from my plate, it was disgustingly bland except for the strange after taste which did not taste like the seasoning mix. Ate the shrimp, it was bland, but I like could at least eat it and not feel like I was going to vomit. My girlfriend couldn’t eat the shrimp or sausage she ordered. Again bland on both. No flavor. Sausage cold. We won’t be back. It’s their first few weeks of opening. It was an $80 let down and looking at the bill, not sure how it was $80 as the prices didn’t add up. However, after waiting another 15 minutes with our debit card and our waitress sitting down in a booth on the opposite side of the building, we got up left cash and walked out....
