My husband and I had lunch here today. The lady at the counter was very sweet and polite, but we had a hard time hearing her when she apoke to us. We placed our order and sat down. After we had been there around 8-10 minutes, a group of five men came in and sat at a round table in the corner directly behind us. Within just a few minutes, the waitress started bringing out plates of food for them. My husband and I were aghast, to say the least. The only explanation for this that I can come up with is that they may have been "regulars" who called in their order ahead of time. Still, it didn't give us a warm, fuzzy feeling to see people that came in AFTER we did getting to eat BEFORE we did. After about 15-20 minutes, we finally got our food after watching the waitress walk past us with it a couple of times before figuring out that it was ours. Mind you, it was a little after 11 a.m. and the place was barely 1/4 occupied. We got our food, and it was very tasty. Compliments to the chef, for sure! However, the waitress never came back to check on us or to make sure there wasn't anything else we needed. By the way, I would like to make a suggestion for the waitresses' attire. I understand that this is a casual eatery, but do they have to come to work wearing something that might be better suited for working in the yard? Can't we at least spring for t-shirts with the business logo on them? I have no problem with the wait staff wearing shorts, but I think raggedy, cutoff blue jeans could be swapped out for an agreed-upon style in a khaki or navy blue color. I certainly don't see the harm in making the wait staff look a bit neater and more cohesive. Anyway, that is my two cents' worth. Food -...
Read moreI ordered the chicken fried chicken which is the only thing I ever get there. I've had it a total of three or four times, spaced out years apart. I've always dined in and this was my first time getting it to go. The menu READS Chicken Fried Chicken....NOT Chicken Fried Chicken WITH GRAVY! Now while dining in I made that mistake and they re-did it. So when I ordered it today and got it to go, not once did she mention anything about the gravy and it's been a year or so since I had it so I didn't remember that it comes with it. I make it home and open my food and see gravy on my chicken, so I called. She got short with me and said it wasn't her mistake it's my fault for not saying no gravy. I inform her well the menu doesn't say it comes with gravy, she then says no it doesn't but we've served it that way for 36yrs.....ANDDDDDD??? That doesn't mean everyone is aware of that. I've been in Jonesboro my whole like and didn't even know about this place until about 5yrs ago. What if I had never been there before and ordered it, then who's fault would that be??? She was incredibly rude! Most places just apologize and remake it, there's no reason why they couldn't have. They should also start putting that it comes with gravy on the menu for new comers or for people like me who don't come by...

We came here after my mother -in laws funeral I was the only black person in my party i got the worst service I have ever had anywhere I have traveled I just want to warn if you are a person of color I would keep driving pass this place. I got lack luster food and terrible service but very obvious racist behavior going on here. I have to say to the tired old waitress who thought my husband was a minister spend more time doing your job instead of chatting up other people's husbands he was never a minister or just get you own man honey. I would never eat here again just glad I...
