I hate to write negatively about this because the staff was clearly frustrated by what seemed to be a difficult day, but I think it's important that I share my experience.
We ordered our meal and received our meal. The fries seem to be overcooked in which our kids who love fries couldn't even finish them.
I ordered the double jalapeno pepper jack cheese burger.... I admit it! I was enticed by all of the window clings and menu board graphics. To my surprise the burger I received was not a double jalapeno pepper jack cheeseburger, but a double cheeseburger with no jalapenos and no pepper jack cheese. I wonder if someone from the drive-thru received my burger by accident.
I took my burger to the front counter and no one would come see me. I went and stood in line behind two people just so that I could speak with an employee. Finally, I was seeing and explained my situation to the staff member. She took my ticket and then asked if I wanted them to make my burger. I said well, I ordered a jalapeno pepper jack cheese double burger and did not receive jalapenos or pepper jack cheese, so yes I do want you guys to remake it.
I then went and joined my family. I kept an eye on the counter hoping that they would make my burger quickly and I could eat with my family.
Five minutes went by and my burger was still not ready. I went to the counter and there I stood for another 3 minutes before the girl who took my receipt back saw me and came over. She said sorry the burger will be with you shortly. She then had a confused look on her face as if she was thinking of something.
She went to the kitchen staff and I could see her asking about my burger and then one of the employees saying, "I don't have anything in our screens to make a jalapeno burger." It had been 8 minutes and no one was making my burger.
I then returned to my family knowing that it would take a couple of minutes and hung out with them as they were finishing up their meals (everything but the fries). I walked back over to the counter and noticed that that girl was making my burger, not the kitchen staff. I guess they were in the zone with other meals and didn't want to disrupt what they were doing. Maybe my incorrect burger order was not a priority. After all, I was already unhappy so try not to make any other customers unhappy too.
Finally, I got my burger and sat down to eat while my family watched me. It was a pretty disappointing experience.
We live in Ozark. We love Braum's. It was sad to witness how different a restaurant from the same franchise can be in another city. I hope this message is received well and...
Read moreThe Joplin Braum's on Rangeline was recently remodeled, and it looks great! I go here to buy my pistachio ice cream, as it is harder to find around town. Their discount bakery rack is also a nice spot to score deals. This store is always fairly clean and the employees are very courteous, especially the ones in the market side. There are always specials and Braum's makes one of the better burgers for a fast foot chain! I do miss when the kid's cones were 79 cents! If ever find yourself needing last minute groceries, give Braum's a try as they have saved me a ton of time in the past!
review update 8/6/18 It seems like prices are going up and Braums is starting to nickle and dime customers. You would think it would be the opposite after benefiting from last year's corporate tax rate cut. In the past i would be able to get a medium cup of water with my meal for no additional cost, now they want 50 cents. It not about the 50 cents but the customer service aspect. Today I needed a $20 bill broken and was told I needed to buy something to get change. This is sad because I really like some of the employees here who go above and beyond when servicing customers. Read morereceived the wrong flavor and it was runny and melty. i work overnight and stopped after work and made it home when i realized it was the wrong flavor. i called and the lady was kind of rude which is why im leaving a review. i was also told to hold onto the ice cream and to bring it back to the store later… im sorry but im not gonna let an ice cream sit for hours just to get my order remade that you messed up on. spent 4$ on melted ice cream that wasnt the correct flavor. i had even settled for a flavor i didn’t want to begin with because they only had the holiday flavors out. i was very understanding just to be treated the way i was. she knew exactly my order as well then told me to bring my receipt (which is no problem) and i said “okay let me check the bag because i dont see a receipt” and before i could finish saying “it may be in my car still” she says “we give out receipt with EVERY order.” like girlie is treating me as if im tryna scam braums over 4 dollars …. it was never that deep. i rarely eat ice cream and was having a craving so im bummed.i also have a video of the ice cream. it was suppose to be a double scoop and it the video you can clearly see it’s just a melted mess and there was zero strawberry as well which was also how i knew it was not the right flavor for one...
