Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Joplin

How come no one told me about the fry sauce?????? So a co worker mentioned the Patty Melt with a side of jalapeno fry sauce from Freddy's and I had to try it out. I went through the drive-thru and had to wait for awhile to get my food. Mind you it was 7:30 pm when I got the craving for a patty melt. Ordered the combo meal and when I got home I started on the fries first (as i usually do). I dipped them in the fry sauce and was hooked! Once I finished the fries, I started on the Patty melt and also dipped that in the fry sauce. It was amazing, except for the fact they toasted the bread on my Patty melt too long. I prefer the bread to be lightly toasted so it doesn't get so hard. I'll have to go back and see if they take a request to not toast the bread so long. I received a coupon for a free combo and decided to try the Patty Melt again, but this time request the buns to be lightly toasted. WOW this made a huge difference! I ordered food on Fri the 23rd around 8:30 pm, and they failed to give me my kids' meal and didn't notice that it was missing till I got home, which was 40mins away. I didn't want to go back that night being so far away, so I called that night and explained to the girl what happened, and she took my name and my entire order and problem and assured me that when I came back up that they would replace my enitre order for my trouble. I called tonight to make sure I didn't need my receipt and talked to a manager who was very rude and refused to honor the note that was made that he confirmed was there. He processed to tell me that it was against the company policy to handle it that way, which I can understand but what was irritating is when you have a customer upset because someone told them that there was a note made and assured me it would be replaced and then told it won't be and the best he could do is send me a coupon is not acceptable! To make amends to keep the customer happy, he should have honored the note and then explained the policy that they wouldn't be able to honor a note any longer. My wife and I were traveling through Joplin on a 12 hr drive home. Normally stop for lunch as it is half way between for us. We decided to try it for the first time. I ordered the patty melt and was given two completely paper thin flat chard pieces of meat. The fries were only as warm as the heat lamp kept them. This was all during a lunch hour. The floors had food on them and when your trying to eat the meal it made it more difficult. We decided to not try the Custard after this. We have learned that if a place looks dirty where people can see, then you know it is 10X worst where you can not see. Consider the examples of great places to go for fast food. No brainer here: Whataburger, Wendys, and Chick-fil-a. If the goal is to be as good as Steak and Shake, the bar is really low, and btw, they are better.
