Bimbo's Pizza — Restaurant in Kalamazoo

Another awful experience at Bimbos. This time Allison made sure I didn't enjoy my meal. Where to begin? I have been to bimbos probably once a year since 2017 and every single time I come to bimbos it is a bad experience. Every single time I walk through that door I pick up a negative vibe. The only reason I have returned to this restaurant is because my husband loves this restaurant. It is nostalgia for him. Well that was up until Sunday. While we were at the restaurant on Sunday Allison was our server. Allison made sure that we did not enjoy your experience that day. We ordered cheese bread for an appetizer. I watched Allison clean other tables and serve other tables before she brought the cheese bread to our table. The cheese bread was burnt. Then two minutes later she brought the rest of the food. An appetizer by definition should be served at least five minutes prior to the main meal. Then throughout the meal she made no effort to check in with us to see if we needed anything. Allison could not be bothered with refilling drinks. I ordered a veggie pizza. The outer rim of my veggie pizza was burnt. My daughter ordered a cheese pizza. Her pizza was burnt. My husband ordered a sausage pizza. Amazingly his pizza was not burnt. My child refused to eat the cheese pizza we paid for because it was burnt. That was frustrating to receive burnt food and no apology. Allison then escalated her poor behavior when she asked if we wanted boxes to go and we said yes. That was a horrible mistake. Allison brings the boxes to the table and drops them on the pizza......that we were eating. I am unsure why Allison thought that behavior was acceptable but hey maybe that's the bimbos way. The icing on the cake during our time dining here was when a family of nine came in and Allison rolled her eyes puffed out and exhausted sigh and took her sweet time serving this family. It definitely came across like Allison had a problem with serving a large family. It made me feel like if I were to have a birthday party I would not come to bimbos because employees like Allison would work to make sure that I didn't enjoy my time at bimbos. I know Allison did this because I set up my table and watched her do it. My husband went to pay and said that was the only time Allison was nice was during check out. Firstly I'll like to say that I am from Chicago born and raised. With that being said I know what great pizza looks and taste like. I absolutely love pizza. Being college students me and my woman decided to travel to Kalamazoo since we were close to the city. We wanted to soak up the culture, see what it has to offer, visit the wonderful downtown area, and take a tour of the beautiful and massive Western Michigan University. Upon leaving Kalamazoo I decided to try and support the locals so we stopped in and placed an order for a sausage Pizza at Bimbo's. I like the design of the place. I also like that you can see the pizzas being made from the outside window which to me yields confidence and quality. First thing there's no pizza crust options. The crust was flatbread like. I'm a thick crust type of guy. Though that can be overlooked. The problem is that the entire pizza was tasteless. It was badly In need of salt and flavor. The crust had no flavor and taste like pure flour mixed with water. Too much flour used at the bottom of pizza so that the pizza want stick. The pizza could have cooked a little longer. The sauce was too thin(watery), tasted cheap, and had minimum flavor. The cheeses used were tasteless. The sausages were tasteless. We were greatly disappointed given that we paid over 11 dollars for the Pizza. We would have gotten more of a nice flavor profile from a Little Caesars...

Honestly these are the most surprising reviews I have ever seen. I thought I would come to the review page and this place would have terrible reviews. Are people drunk when they go to this place and write their review? The pizza was literally hot garbage. It's not only the worst pizza I have ever had but probably the worst take out I have ever had. It was dry and flavorless. The consistency was closer to cardboard with blended tomato and undercooked toppings on top of it. Usually at a pizza place the bread sticks would make up for the pizza but the breadsticks were just as bad as the pizza. I have no clue how Bimbos has survived this long. Do yourself a favor and save your money. 0/0 not worth it. I wish google would let me leave 0 stars because this place...
