Wild Bull — Restaurant in Kalamazoo

I have been to Wild Bull a handful of times and have always had a blast dancing with my friends and have never had any issues. The staff have always been very fun and made me feel safe there as well. However, last night a bartender (whom I did not interact with the whole night) told the bouncers that she wanted me to be kicked out because I “called her the b-word”. Unfortunately, even though I explained to the staff and the general manager that, not only had I not called her that, but I hadn’t even spoken to her all night, I was still kicked out and my four friends left with me. I had tried to explain the situation to the general manager, staying calm and understanding throughout the conversation, but he was not interested in my side of the story, saying that it was a “he said, she said” and that he would have to check the tapes.

Overall, this has been my worst experience at a bar by far. It is incredibly disappointing that one of their staff lied about a patron and in doing so caused 5 girls who have been to Wild Bull many times with no prior issues, to leave. I do not know if I will be returning there due to the fact that my character was called into question, I was utterly dismissed by the general manager, and I do not want to have to worry about being kicked out again in the future because of...

Their security picks favorites. Meaning if you make a false claim while standing right infront of a security gaurd they will still kick the unrightfully accused out.

Context: i was leaving an event i felt unwelcome at. I was making my exit when i spoke with the hosts husband and told him such. He asked for more details, i gave them and told him hey im just not getting friendly looks etc. The host runs over and interjects and says well if someone is leaving because they dont feel welcome i need to know. I explained the whole situation again. The host ultimately got upset when pressed upon the forming of cliques and groups that were bad mouthing me. This was all done within 15 feet of their rear parking lot gate where security is posted. She karen walks to security says he needs to leave due to something and they oblige. Mind you her private event space had ended 40 mins prior, i wasnt in their area, and she already knew i was leaving yet decided to lie to security to get me removed. A close friend of ours experienced a deeply troubling incident at this establishment, where she was drugged during a previous visit. After taking a long break from going out at all, she came back last night—only to learn that she had been banned by the manager, Chris, due to an inability to “verify the situation.”

We (group of 12+ that night) personally witnessed her lose consciousness after consuming just one drink and saw her calmly and respectfully report the incident to management the following day. The response she received was dismissive and unacceptable. 2 months post the incident new manager, Chris, finally responded- but not to any emails or voicemails she left, he responded on google reviews.

We are extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled. Banning someone who is not only a victim but also a respected leader in our community sends the wrong message. As a result, our entire group—18 strong—will no longer be supporting this establishment. Accountability and safety should...
