Sarkozy Bakery and Café — Restaurant in Kalamazoo

This is a wonderful local bakery that contains delicious bread and pastries.

The inside of the bakery is VERY clean, modern, and airy looking, something I like to see in a place selling food.

Also, because they allow you to see what goes on in the baking area, you can see how they make their bread and what that area look like. The baking area is always clean looking and the workers do a very good job and keeping the place clean. This I feel is something key in any successful food business, being transparent about how you make your food and keeping the place clean.

I love their bread, and since you can call in to get a loaf baked just for you, you don't have to worry about freshness. All things sold that day are baked that morning so nothing is old and moldy looking.

Whenever I've bought a pastry from them it's delicious and well worth the price to support a local bakery.

It's not often that you find a good local bakery in Kalamazoo that constantly bakes quality bread. The people working there are super friendly and there's a nice seating area if you want to have breakfast.

Although they don't specialize in coffee, they do offer good coffee for the morning also.

I have been wanting to stop here for months and I chose the right day because the owner herself was there and she gave me a welcome gift of a free cookie! The cookie was very good and it would only have been a dollar at full price, I will definitely come back for another. I ordered an 8 inch pizza, its more of a thin crust but and it was just filling enough for an early lunch. My partner got a half ham and cheese sandwich and was impressed by the quality of the meat. His meal included a small bowl of soup on the side. Our two meals came up to about $15 and I purchased some of their pins and stickers. My husband is a marketing manager and he pre-ordered 6- 2 dozen trays of Christmas cookies of all varieties including Christmas cookies and brownies. My husband was distributing the cookies to people and businesses that he respects and appreciates. The cookies he received were in a BOX with basic cookies and no Christmas cookies or brownies. The employee that gave them to him stated they are all out of any Christmas cookies and brownies. What is the purpose of pre-ordering? We feel we could have purchased the same cookies from Walmart or Meijers and they would have been on nice trays not in a box and they would have included brownies and Christmas cookies.
