Couldn’t recommend this place more! Everything was exceptional. The food was the best food I’ve had in a long time. Classic comfort foods like poutine and a french dip were totally leveled up, best I’ve ever had. Our drinks were SO good too, highly recommend the Madre. The service was excellent. Our server, Grace was wonderful. She had great recommendations, knew the menu well, and stopped by numerous times to check on us to make sure everything was as we wanted. The general manager also stopped by to check on us numerous time and was very friendly and professional. It’s clear that the staff enjoy their jobs. Last, the actual restaurant itself is unbelievably beautiful. It’s a historical mercantile building where the original charm has been beautifully maintained. The steakhouse vs. KM bar provide two totally separate vibes too, bar side being a little more upbeat and casual, steakhouse side a great option for more upscale dining, both offering incredible food and drinks. Seriously couldn’t recommend this more and will absolutely be stopped every time we’re in Kalispell from...
Read moreNew spot in Kalispell but much needed. Cool space in the historic Mercantile building. Live band on Thursday night was great, if a tad loud for the space. Drinks were very good, but $13 bucks for an old fashioned is pretty steep. $13 bucks for any cocktail is pretty steep. So be prepared for expensive drinks. The old fashioned I had was very good but not the best I’ve ever had (just a touch sweet), but for the price it should be world class. However, the duck fat fries were on point and worth every penny. Can’t wait to try the poutine. There’s definitely a market here for a real bar open past 8PM, which the breweries can’t do. I’ll be back for sure, but less often because it’s pricey. Seems closer to the vibe of the Gunsight Saloon but price leaning into Tupelo range. Those are all the same ownership and I like both of those places. Overall a cool joint and will probably be very...
Read moreThis place was awesome when it first opened. Great food and cocktails. Usually great service…
Tonight I visited KM Bar at 9pm (hours posted are 11pm close) the person who greeted us was very friendly and brought us water and said she would go get the bartender who then rushed us to place a food order and then proceeded to bring the kitchen staff beers before taking our drink order. I walked out after this.
There were only maybe 10 people in the restaurant including my party. Everyone else in the restaurant had drinks and most had food. I understand that there is widespread staffing shortage… It’s not like we walked in 10mins before close with an 8-top that all wanted well-done steaks but that’s how we were treated at 2hrs before close when we were only a 3-top who wanted a burger, a salad and poutine, an objectively easy lift.
I won’t come...
