I find it funny that this place is next door to McDonalds and kicks their butt daily. Kinda in your face Micky D. I had the Russler and it was great. This is a unique place with picnic tables outside and a retro vibe overall. The menu behind the counter was difficult to read. The one on the counter was also very small print for my old eyes They post a good readable menu outside by the door for folks like me but I of course didn't look at it. The menu is kinda confusing but you just order what you want and they will make it your way. They take pride in creating YOUR masterpiece. I don't know how long they been there but I guess quite a while. They were very busy the whole time I was there. Their burgers are amazing. Perhaps the best burger I have had in quite a while. The bun was heated possibly steamed as it was warm and perfect. I asked them to grill the onions and they were perfect. I honestly wanted to order the shake but resisted. I saw a lot of folks having the shakes. They all looked very happy. I will return for sure. If you want a great burger go here that is where great burgers are born. Great staff great location big RV friendly...
Read moreAs two moms traveling with three kids (ages 10, 8, and 7), finding a place that everyone agrees on can be tricky—but Big Al’s Burgers was such a hit, we ended up eating there two days in a row! It was so good, we even made the drive back from Page, AZ, just to eat there again. Totally worth it.
The burgers were delicious—fresh, juicy, and cooked just right. The kids devoured theirs without a single complaint (which says a lot), and the adults were just as happy. The fries were crispy and seasoned perfectly, and we also tried some shakes, which were thick, creamy, and exactly what you want after a day of hiking or adventuring.
The atmosphere was super friendly and relaxed—family-friendly without being chaotic—and the staff was kind, patient, and helpful. Even with a bunch of hungry kids in tow, we felt completely comfortable and welcomed.
Whether you’re passing through Kanab or staying nearby, don’t miss Big Al’s. It’s the kind of place that hits the spot after a day outdoors, and the kind of food you’ll still be thinking about the next day (which is exactly why we came back). Great food, great people, and a great stop...
