I would like to start by saying that I typically do not do reviews. And if I do, it’s usually because something went extremely horribly. This is the first time that I have felt compelled to write a positive review and if you would get off your butts and get over to Only In Kanab, you will see why. My husband and I stopped to grab some burgers on our way out of town and this hidden gem has me contemplating moving to Kanab. The burgers were by far, the best burgers either of us had ever experienced, and I say experienced because eating it was an other worldly, exhilarating EXPERIENCE. We went there after being told that the burgers were amazing, and honestly we’ve been led astray before so we went in without high expectations. When we got there, it was a cute trailer in a motel parking lot, and the gentleman running the show was so friendly and personable. But the food…the food was…intoxicating. It came out beautifully presented with a cute little branding on top of the bun, but that first bite changed our lives. The meat is perfectly cooked and so juicy and flavorful. All of the toppings were so carefully placed in between in a way to make what would normally be a very messy meal, very not. Every ingredient was perfectly portioned as to not overpower each other or take away from the flavor of the actual burger. The bun, had the perfect amount of crispness outside, while being so soft on the inside. The entire time we were eating the only worlds we could fathom were “wow…just wow. Wow….” And HOURS AFTER WE ATE we were still talking about how amazing those burgers were. The only complaint I have is that I will now never be able to enjoy a burger from anywhere else. I am sitting here days later depressed because nothing will ever amount to what that burger was. And I now have to be willing to schedule frequent trips (it’s a 6 hours drive for us) to eat there again. If you like burgers… no… if you like food, GO EAT AT ONLY IN KANAB. I hope your mouth has the best...
Read moreI’m sorry to even do this, but I feel obligated. We looked up places to stop for about an hour on our way pulling a pop up to Zion. I was so excited about this place, 4.9 rating?, awesome. Menus available online showed impossible patties available for an additional price. Husband eats meat, I don’t. We pull in and husband waited 10 minutes to order while I got our little one set with her dinner from the camper, then was told that they haven’t done impossible patties for 6 months now and the menus online are on Google and old pictures and there is nothing that he can do… Needless to say, this was an extremely disappointing situation after an already stressful day. I totally understand that the pictures and info about the vego option are out of date, however, before we arrived I read every word on their otherwise super detailed website and nowhere did it say the impossible patties were no longer an option. A quick blurb on the website, some updated pictures added on Google to push the others down, a sign we no longer offer veggie patties so it’s seen right away upon arrival - any of this would go a very long way to diminish disappointment by customers. They say they do one thing awesome, the burgers, which based on other reviews they must, but the whole experience was a negative one for us...
Read moreIf I could pack up JC and his food truck and take them back to Alaska with me, I would in a heartbeat.
We’re some food truck fanatics where I’m from, and let me tell you - JC and his food truck stands out in a crowd! His set up is clean, menu is clear and concise, and his pricing reflects the care, craft, and hustle he puts in as a one- man show. Even on the hottest of days, he’s out there serving up absolute deliciousness. He is also personable, welcoming, and genuinely kind. I appreciate the chit chat when ordering. He’s streamlined his process and even offers Apple Pay.
The food! I ordered the Kanab Burger with Kanab Dust on the fries. The fries are already perfect, but that dust took them to another level! The burger is juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and served on a grilled bun that made it all ‘chef kiss’ perfection!
If there’s a line, don’t give up - it’s absolutely worth the wait.
P.S. I noticed a few less than 5 star reviews about the lack of vegetarian options but those reviews don’t reflect the quality of food or the heart JC puts into his work. This...
