I used to enjoy going here; I would donate some things and buy a lot more things. I won't anymore.
I showed up to the back door a little after 3 just yesterday (they close at 4, I made the unforgivable sin of trying to donate a little after 3) and as I walked up to the open door holding a printer, an older man shouted at me "NOPE !" I responded "oh, no printers?" And he grumpily responded "no, we don't take any printers!" And as I calmly said okay and walked away, he shouted behind my back "and our donations closed at 3 !" As if it even matters when I'm leaving anyway.
It's perfectly fine for them to choose what to take and what not to take, but there is no reason to be rude. It tells people "you are bothering us; you are not welcome." From now on, if I don't know anyone personally who wants an old item of mine, I will just throw it away. When I need to buy something, I'll just order it online and avoid human interaction. People like you are the reason that a lot of people now...
Read moreThe women who volunteer at this store (there are no employees) are incredibly rude to customers and also hoard the quality items that come in for themselves (I overheard them laughing about it). While there may be some good to average items to be found, the women make it not worth it. I was appalled several times when I asked simple questions like "How do I tell what the shoe sizes are?" and "how much is this?" Different women scoffed and loudly answered sarcastically. The final straw for me was when I was browsing a rack of clothes and was accosted by an "employee" who asked me, "who gave you permission to look at that"? Apparently I was perusing the rack of clothes they set aside for themselves, though there was no sign indicating not to touch. I left the store then and wished I could have filed a complaint. Seriously, don't shop here. It is a bunch of clucking old women who run it and think...
Read moreI found this place while in Kanab on business and I am so glad that I did! It's a great little thrift store that has a wonderful assortment of women's clothing, shoes, and outerwear, along with many books, housewares, and small furniture items! The prices are absolutely the best I've come across in a long time, and that's a big deal to me as I'm a very avid thrifter! But this store's greatest asset are the ladies who are running the place! They are warm and friendly and the number one reason that I will be returning to shop here each and every time that I should find myself anywhere near this area in the future! If you're looking to do a little bargain hunting in Kanab , I highly recommend that you...
