The one gold star is for the nice (Cuban?) guy who came and checked on us. He was super nice and personable and sweet. Our waitress was ok, but wasn’t really paying attention to anything going on. She was nice enough I guess, but could definitely use some customer service training.

The biggest downfall was the food. My family is local to Kanab and we visit often. All of us were SO excited to have a new place to try. We were, unfortunately, somewhat disappointed. Not only was the food overpriced, but the portions were small. ($10 for a small sandwich that doesn’t even come with fries or a drink?!) On top of that the food we got was dry and crumbling everywhere (this was the Cuban Steak Sandwich). We asked for some sort of sauce to help moisten things up, and they brought out a tiny little plastic cup with what looked like fat and seasoning they pulled off the frying pan where they cooked the meat. The double cheese burger had nothing but the meat, bread, and cheese. No ketchup or anything. No one even offered us sauces for that or the fries we ordered. (The fries were good, actually.)

A few other things to add, is that they didn’t have a good chunk of their menu items, which was annoying and they didn’t have ice for beverages.

The deserts are RIDICULOUSLY tiny and didn’t even taste good. It was like $3 + tax for a two inch “empanada”. And it didn’t really taste good.

If you’re in for a fun-visual aesthetic, this is the place to go. Beautiful colors, decor, and murals. But would not recommend for the food. You’re definitely better off going to Escobars...

a simple thursday morning breakfast that wasnt. No waitress, just a server. Order at the counter and wait for food in your seat. I ordered the 3 egg omlete - it gets a C- bc the omelet was over cooked and the fillings weren't cooked, coffee (not cuban) was dishwater but the toast...ah the toast, it was superb. Signs in the shop asked to buss your own dishes and offer to "pay it forward" by leaving money for others who need money for food. Not against charity, but buss my own dishes? C'mon. Small shop trying to keep things alive. As I travel around the country I see similar places thriving by 1)Pay better wages, 2)Charge higher prices, 3)Make food worth paying more for. This seems to be the new normal. This place should consider it. Who knows, maybe omeletes and coffee aren't their strong suit...

Following up on the owner reply. I am the customer, you KNOW when something isn't right leaving your kitchen. The right answer here is not to chastise me. You could have a) Made sure the food was right, or maybe came out to ask how everything was. b) ignored my review. c) offered a simple apology and ask me to give you another try next time i'm passing thru to show me how good you really are. I didn't complain because there was no one to complain to. The poor girl running the front of the house was out back, outside, taking orders and doing her best to keep up. When I was leaving, the ordering parties were 5 deep, she did not need my feedback. We can agree to disagree about my observations. People have choices and I think you'll find they would respond...

If we could give 10 stars, we absolutely would! From top to bottom, we truly enjoyed our meal here! When we walked in the door, we were immediately greeted by a young man - he had a genuine smile on his face and made each and every person feel welcome as they walked in. You’re given a menu and then order at the counter. Even though it appeared really busy between dining room guests, phone calls, and pick up orders, our food came out in what seemed like no time, and it was FANTASTIC! We both ordered a Cubano sandwich, and wow - just wow! Although one sandwich was probably big enough to feed us both, we each finished our sandwich. The bread was crisp and yet fresh at the same time. The sandwich was high with perfectly cooked meat and was just layer upon layer of perfectly executed flavor. This sandwich hit it out of the park. To add to the incredible food, the restaurant itself is spotless! Adding to the overall experience (and just as impressive) was the fact the staff also acknowledged each and every guest as they left the restaurant.

Job well done! We can’t wait here to eat here one more time...

Delicious, authentic Cuban food with some American options to boot. While everything is tasty, I recommend choosing one of the Cuban options. The Cubano is perfect for diners that want a tasty sandwich you won't find in sandwich shops. A mix of slow-cooked pork and deli ham paired with Swiss cheese and pickles. Served warm it is full of flavor. The other go-to choice is the Cuban Plates. These include vegan, chicken, slow-roasted pork or, my favorite: steak. Each comes with house-made beans, rice, plantains, and pico de gallo. These plates serve up flavor in spades! Plenty of seating inside, outside and to-go options mean you get your food and experience however you want. The interior is Cuban themed with bright colors and plenty of light. A room off to the side is available for rental to host parties - it includes a beautiful mural of a traditional Cuban street. If you visit Kanab, Utah make dining at Havana Cuba part of your itinerary.

We stopped by the restaurant after our tour yesterday morning, and it was the best choice we could have made. We lived in Miami for a while so cuban food reminds us of home.. I never thought we'd find such authentic flavor in Utah!! I had the coffee, toast and 1 egg breakfast, the food was amazing. My partner had the huevos rancheros and could not stop raving about them :) If you are in the area, it is the best place to nourish yourself with great flavor and affordable prices. I'd also like to highlight their "Pay it forward" program. It allows patrons to sponsor a meal for people and families that may not be able to pay for it themselves... In a world that easily shows the darkness in people, it's amazing to find a place that brings out the generosity and light in each of us. If you have been blessed, remember to pay it forward! #Bethelight

I can understand some people are still suffering from taste lost after COVID, but unless you are used to eating cardboard, I do not recommend you ordering the Cuban plates. I was hoping to be surprised finding a Cuban joints in this little old Hollywood wild wild west town but it was the wrong surprise unfortunately. Whomever gave the Cuban food here 5 stars needs to go to Miami and try the real thing. I had the Cuban steak plate, it was no steak, it was just small pieces of tough beef, the only thing legit was the flavor, sour orange and you can taste that in the pull pork too. The pull pork plate on the other hand was ok, dry. The Cuban sandwich was OK, but it was with the same dry pull pork. The bread was a little old, tough and chewy. I think they make better burgers and fries here.
