2.5 Hours to get a fresh pizza delivered. They couldn't get their stories straight, tracker showed that my pizza has been sitting for an hour awaiting for a delivery driver. (2:40 was when the pizza was ready)
(3:40) I called to say, its been an hour and that I would like my food to be remade. They try to argue that its been sitting in a warmer. Sure... warm pizza & lava cake that has been sitting for an hour. Granted my order was $15 so they put me in the bottom of the priority. But was then told I would need to wait an another hour for them to cook it and then deliver. Which in return I asked, can you delay cooking the pizza, since your driver will do other deliveries for the next hour. Proceeded to tell me, thats not how it works. They will make a new one now, and wait for the driver to deliver the food. In which I replied, so it will sit again in the warmer for another hour? He says: "Thats what we are trying to tell you" that was their response, saying youll get a cold pizza whether its the one already made, or the new one they will make as soon as they hang up with me that will sit another 45 min for the driver to deliver it. So you might as well get the one already made. I declined and said I will wait another hour for a fresh pizza, and if its sitting again, i will wait a third hour for a fresh pizza. Called at the second hour mark (4:45), saying they missed the "Timed Order" and that they just put the pizza in the oven and will be out for delivery when it comes out of the oven. I said, the tracker showed my pizza in the oven at 4:31 and awaiting delivery at 4:38. Then I asked, is it cooked? Or is the tracker wrong. He says, its wrong, the pizza is cooking and it should be out in 15 min. I said sure, and hung up. Within 30 seconds I get a text message that the pizza is on the way. I laughed to myself at the disbelief. Paid for the food with a card and included tip at checkout. To then have the driver knock on my door twice wanting my signature. I work remote and had to step away to answer and sign a receipt that I never had to sign before on an online order that was already paid. My delivery instructions said to let it sit on the swing chair on my porch. Worst of it all, Amy (the manager) was in the cashiers ear whispering what to say instead of getting on the phone. Just get your stories straight, I never raised my voice, or behaved irate. Only expressed the concerns of pizza sitting for an hour. Not sure why she wouldnt take the call. I live less than 10 min from the place and couldn't get carryout because of work. Or else I could've avoided all of this.
I will say the pizza and lava cakes were hot and fresh when...
Read moreI haven’t ordered from Dominos in several years. I thought I would give it a try again. I placed an order at 8:22 pm after a long day. The confirmation email said the delivery would take 30-40 minutes. An hour later, I was famished and getting kind of hangry. I called the store at 9:22pm. I was told that my delivery was dropped off at the wrong address and they had been anticipating my call. They said they had already started preparing a new order and it was in the oven. I was told it would take about 12 minutes and then it would be on the way. Even though I didn’t want to be understanding, I know these things happen. Once again, 55 minutes later I had to make another call. I was told there was another order going out in my neighborhood and the driver would drop mine off AFTER that one. The guy was very nice, apologized profusely, could not stop telling me how busy they are, and promised free food next time. When it arrived, the thin crust was dry and burnt and the other items were ice cold. I looked through the reviews for this store and see others have had a similar experience. Thanks for the future compensation, but I wouldn’t go through that again even it is free, which it should have been this time. Perhaps it would be good if the store staffed up a little more on the weekends, or called their customers before we have to call them.....and even if there was a mistake the first time and it was late, rush it out after the remake! No one should eat dinner at 10:30 when they ordered pizza at 8:22 pm! We could have ordered 3 pizzas from somewhere else and received them in...
Read moreI've eaten here plenty of times. I'll usually try it, have a bad experience, then not come back for a year or two. I thought I'd try it out today, I was thinking it can't be that bad. I had a bad experience. I ordered online. The online ordering site was awful. I ordered my food and was asked if I wanted to add another item, no, then I was asked again, and for a third time. Right before you pay, you get a cost breakdown. The delivery fee was outrageous. I don't mind leaving a nice tip. I'm a 35 percent tipper, so that's not an issue. But when I'm charged almost five bucks for a delivery fee that's not going to the driver, that gets a little ridiculous. But ok, I'll pay it. Then, for a fourth time, I was asked if I wanted to add dessert. I waited for 1 hour and 32 minutes for my food. I'm only 3.4 miles from the shop. By the time I received my order, both pizzas were cold. As far as taste, awful. We tried 2 new to us sauces. They weren't anything special. The pepperoni wasn't good, hard, and bitter. The bacon was as hard as plastic. The cheese was to soft and was in the process of breaking down, similar to warm milk splitting after it had been cooked to long. There was an option on the Domino's site where you can let the store know if your food isn't good. I was going to fill it out. But as soon as the GPS showed the driver showing up, the page refreshed itself, and the link was gone. I blame this on corporate. Definitely do not...
