So i useto realy like this place. But then- I ordered honey chicken with white rice. My room mate ordered pork fried rice.
My room mate got there order. But i got sesamee chicken with fried rice. So i called explained that i recived the wrong thing. And they apoligiesed put on some.one who could.understand me better who took my info. Said they understand i got the wrong rice. And then told me that honey chicken has sesamees on it. But they were sure it was honey chicken. I told him it was not. That it was MUCH darker then honey chicken normaly is and i was sure it was sesamee chicken. And look i get it. Theres not a huge drifreance but I was in the mood for something sweet not savory. So the guy said he would make me credit for next time. I got off the phone went and tried it. It definitely was not honey chicken. And I didn't eat it.
So. Now it's about 2 weeks later and we feel like using our credit. I call. Give my phone number and address. And polity say that I ordered on line last time and called them because I had received the wrong food and should have a credit for honey chicken with white rice. The guy says "oh online?" I say yes. And he replies ok. I assume that means he understands that I should have a credit for the items I just told him. Then I say. And I would like to add an order of sweet and sour pork with fried rice. He says "ok us that all" and I say yes, please. He says "I give you 20% off" and I say. Ummm no. I should be getting the honey chicken and white rice for free since I didn't get it last time. And he says some more stuff I cant understand. And then says "your total is $14.75" and I sound shocked I'm sure when I said "for just the sweet and sour pork? " I was thinking that cant is right. And he's all "yes it ve there 35-45 mins" and I'm like.... Um ok. And hag up. So I go look at there web site where I normally order. Now, this adds tax and a delivery fee. And for the same item is was $9.75 with the delivery fee and tax. So I look at how much it would be for mine full price and my roommates $18.65.. So you gave me $3.90 off? For real. When you sent me food I first order. Probably should have just replaced it right then. Offered me credit and then argued with me about the price of said credit. They definitely won't order from them again after they are going on the phone and the...
Read morean hour after i had placed the order online for delivery, i called to check the status... i had been quoted a delivery time of 30-45 minutes, so i was getting a little concerned- especially since the other times i had ordered, my food had arrived between 30-35 minutes...
they hadn't even started my order... of course, the man on the phone didn't say that- instead he barked at me, "i don't have that order!" so i politely explained that i had a confirmation number (i had pre-paid, of course, otherwise i would not have bothered and would have just gone elsewhere)... he explained, i'd have my food (which again, he hadn't even started, 5-10 minutes later... 20 minutes later (an hour and 20 minutes after placing the order) my food arrived and i was told to call the store and ask for a refund... even the delivery driver thought he was ridiculous enough for me to deserve some sort of compensation for the shoddy customer service...
so i did...
i was screamed at- literally screamed at
he didn't "have time" (his words) to fix the problem and told me to "deal" with it... after explaining that this was his mistake and not mine, he began to SCREAM, "F* YOU, F* YOU" into the phone before hanging up on me...
so i called back and explained that i would just continue to call back until the my money had been refunded...
i don't usually write reviews (good or bad) but any establishment that treats their customer base like this deserves their awfulness to be broadcast to the world
for shame aloha chopstix
i used to order from you quite a bit- but now you've lost my business forever...
whoever was working the phone between 3-3:30pm on aug 15, 2013 should be...
Read moreI'm going to try and explain my experience with this restaurant as best I can.
Sunday afternoon and my roommate and I get a flyer on our door advertising this Chinese restaurant in town that is under new management. Being the Chinese-food fiends that we are, we decide to go. We look at the menu and to our surprise EVERYTHING on the menu seems to be super cheap (we will come back to this)
We get to the restaurant that seems to be located in what was once a laundromat in some strip-mall on Rainbow Road. As we go inside we have what can only be described as the most awkward customer service experience of our lives, not awful or bad or anything, but extremely awkward.
I digress, we get home, stomachs aching with anticipation of Chinese food, and we eat the food extremely quickly. We start to rate the food actually pretty high (like a 7 out of 10) and we take into account the great price and that helps us get over the fact that the meat kind of tastes like it has freezer burn and the vegetables don't look super fresh ect ect.
All of the sudden we realize that what we are eating - is human garbage food. The prices were so great because we aren't eating food, we are eating what is made to look like food. Five minutes in we are both suffering from stomach aches and now our farts smell like dead people.
2/5 stars would...
