Last night we walked to get ice cream. When we arrived there was only one lady working the window. When we got there was a line of 2 groups of people one with 3 in it and one with 2 and a whole group of people sitting down. I get it its a Sunday night and it was an hour before close. The lady at the counter then took the order for the first group in line. When she was done with them she ignored the next group of two ladies that were in front of us. It ended up that the big group was her family and they were ordering through her while other customers were in line. She eventually took the women in front of us orders and then went back to helping her family. Whom kept coming up to the counter window talking to her. She never acknowledge the groups including us saying she would be right with us or that she was sorry that we were waiting. I know that employees get 50% off now because of her. While we got to the window she went back to make a strawberry sundae type of thing for her sister or her cousin. I watched her after she picked the spoon out of the strawberry container lick her finger to get the strawberry off. I also watched while waiting a girl that had pink in her hair redo her pony tail , touch her hair and face multiple times then went off to the side with a broom in hand. She did not once was her hands in the sink that she was originally standing next to. The young girl at the drive thru window and the girl stuck making all the ice cream orders were the only ones that seemed to be properly doing their jobs & and the guy cleaning the ice cream machine. When the girl was finally done making her families order because the other girl looked like she refused to is when she came back to the window. I replied oh now you are finally ready to take our order after all of that. She did not say anything. When this site first opened it wasn't that bad now it just seems like the manager or the kids that are working just do not care. I feel sorry for the ones that are busting their butts while...
Read moreMy son and I recently visited Andyâs Ice Cream, a place weâve loved for years, to enjoy a sundae together. Weâve been loyal customers for a long timeâprobably spending thousands of dollars over the yearsâbecause of the consistent quality and the people who make it special. This time, we had an experience that reminded us exactly why we keep coming back, thanks to Vivian and Maddie. We thought there was a special concession available, but there was a mix-up. Maddie, in particular, stepped up in a way that truly impressed us. She couldâve easily said ânoâ and left it at that, but instead, she took a leadership role and made it right for us. Her initiative and care turned what couldâve been a disappointment into a moment weâll remember for all the right reasons. Vivian, too, was a delightâher warmth and professionalism added to the experience and made us feel so valued. Itâs rare to find employees like Maddie and Vivian in todayâs marketplace, where good help can be hard to come by. Theyâre the kind of people who make a business thrive, who keep customers like us returning time and time again. Andyâs is lucky to have them, and weâre already looking forward to our next visit. If youâre reading this, Maddie and Vivian, know that youâre the heart of what makes this place greatâyou should feel proud of the difference you...
Read morePoor handling of scheduled events: Total disappointment today! Saw at noon that Slugger was going to be there today from 4:00-6:00 for a meet and greet, $2 sundae and new Royals treat. My son was there before 4:00, was the First one in Line. An employee took Slugger to the parking lot for a photo opportunity with Andy's Custard sign and media. After that Slugger took 2 pics (one with a family) (one with couple with a dog) then was directed inside by staff, changed and came back out carrying his "bags (slugger)". So, not only did my son, that was there before 4:00 no one else but 2 people was allowed to take pics or even see Slugger. Those parents that might be bringing kids to see him at 5:00. Guess what... He is GONE! They should have had Slugger there earlier if they wanted media/advertising shots with him. Why advertise that Slugger would be there from 400-600 if he was ONLY going to be there 4:00 - 4:20 and would be occupied by the Andy's staff! They even had a photo area set up, but Slugger didnât even make it to it. HUGH...
