I had gotten the new royal chicken sandwich through drive thru today. I subed the swiss cheese for american. I get my receipt and I was charged for cheese that is already part of the sandwich. No biggy, simple mistake. I bring it to the employees attention. She tells me no matter how she does it, the cheese button automatically charges for the cheese. Which I understood. I used to work in fast food. I was about to tell her that instead of hitting the cheese button, to tell the grill personell to sub swiss for american, but she rudely tells me she is going to get her boss and closes the window. She retuns with the manager and I can see them talking. She then proceeds to open the door, take out .60, hands it to the manager and walks off. The manager opens the window and apologizing for the mixup. I told him its ok. I was just trying to tell her that she should've told the grill to sub the cheese for american and not charge it. He told me that he told her that. I told him I wasn't mad about the mistake, it happens. I used to work in fast food and I get it. I just wanted her to he aware of the mistake and fix it and learn about it. Instead she got all huffy about it. He said he would talk to her about it. At that moment the car behind me honks at me and I put my car in park. The manager asks if I had gotten the food yet and I tell him no. He gets my order and hands it to me and I pull away.
Moral of the story, don't be rude to customers when they aren't being rude to you. If they point out a mistake, own the mistake, fix it and learn from it. No one is perfect.
Thank you to the manager who fixed the mistake and understood it was never about the .60. It was simply about learning...
Read moreOrdered inside, a woman who's name began with a C was getting off of her shift and the guy in front of me was the last order she was going to take. While the shift manager was getting rocked on the drive-through side. "C" SLOWLY gathered her personal belongings and was stacking them next to the register. She then punched in another order, and I realized it was an order for her. After about 8-10 minutes I still had not been acknowledged. While this employee gathered her things at a sloths pace. She then walked out from behind the counter and placed her items on a table and went into the restroom. 2 minutes later the shift manager took my order. It was ready in 5 minutes. I went to fill the softdrink cups, but that took almost 5 minutes, because that employee "C" was filling her beverage. I don't know if it is possible to fill a cup with ice slower than she did. I started to think I was on a prank TV show. She then slid down to put her straw through the lid. She was standing in front of the Brewed Iced Tea. I filled both of my cups with ice in about 11 seconds then proceeded to wait another 2 minutes watching "C" put the straw though the lid with one hand. I didn't think it was going to happen, but she finally got it. As I was filling my cups with tea "C" was headed for the exit. I gathered my bag and drinks and headed for the same exit. Another 2 minutes went by while she was exiting the double doors as slow as molasses. She was pushing the doors open with her back and letting gravity lean her through the doors. I thought to myself I hope she isn't driving. I was not upset by any of this experience, but it was one of the most curious series of events I have...
Read moreI just had lunch at the location in Liberty, Missouri.... and it was AMAZING. I know that people are always quick to complain about service or experiences that are poor, so I wanted to take a moment of my time to brag about the experience that I had. My husband and I dined in, and we arrived at what I think was the tail end of the initial lunch rush. There was a line, but everything went smoothly and quickly. Our cashier was friendly (and I had a picky/complicated order which she executed perfectly). The food was all correct, it was all fresh and hot, and it was ready fast. Also the person who was putting together and packing/traying orders and calling out order numbers.... I think he must be either a manager or team leader. He was efficient and friendly, and as we finished our meal and the restaurant slowed down, we heard him praising his team and telling everyone they did a great job. I hardly ever have great experiences at fast food places, and I hardly ever visit Burger King to be honest. But I will DEFINITELY be back after today. I am thoroughly impressed and I hope that team gets some...
