Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Kansas City

It says the store closes at 11 so I went in at 9:50 thinking I still had some time to grab a quick late dinner. They were already in the middle of cleaning the grill, the meat they were serving was cold, and the chips were beyond stale. Just say you close at 10 so I can save us both the trouble and go to mcdonalds instead. I even ordered the carne asada at an upcharge because they've been advertising it so heavily and I thought it would be good, boy oh boy that was a mistake. I didn't even finish the 3 tacos I ordered I just pulled the meat from the last one and fed it to my dog along with the stale chips, at least he seemed happy with it. I normally don't leave reviews but this was over $20 of pure disappointment and I am legitimately kind of upset about it. Also the "green salsa" was brown, I asked the guy making the tacos what it was because it looked like some sort of ground beef thing. I don't know if I was able to hide my disgust when he told me what it actually was. Next time I find myself needing food late at night I will be going to the aforementioned mcdonalds from now on. Disappointed for a 1st visit. I understand a lunch rush and even that they may be training new people but the restaurant itself was a disaster. It is brand new. It was sad that it was treated so badly. There were 8 people behind the counter, and yet every table was dirty - I know because I looked for a clean one. The garbage was overflowing. And it was not that busy to not have someone look at the dining room. I walked right up with no one in line and there were only a handful of people eating in there. The food was delicious which was a saving grace but there just isn't any excuse for the mess. As I was leaving it seemed like someone in charge was leaving as well who worked there. Everytime I come here they always go easy on adding food in either bowl or burrito. I've been to all branches of Chipotle near me and this is the only branch where I got less food than other branches. The atmosphere is great, store's very clean amongst all of other branches but only the quantity of food is the only concern. Even when I asked to add extra sides like corn or some other, they don't tend to add extra. Just adds like a table spoon of addon or so. If all of the branches does that, we might think that that store policy about quantity. But this is the only branch I've experienced this. Hopefully they get better in this next time.
