My meal was pretty good ordered the 2 meat meal - I had the chicken , brisket, green beans, Asiago cream spinach. I didn’t eat at the restaurant, it was delivered by Door Dash. I expected larger portions but the food was hot. I would have given them 5 stars however I asked for the pickle and onion side add ons to be placed on the side and they were not. I also ordered a corn muffin but received a call and was advised they were out of them (at 219pm on a Sunday). The caller advised me that a customer the day before ordered 24. I mean I make corn bread muffins at home and it doesn’t take that long🤷🏽‍♀️. Anyway they offered a dinner roll or Texas toast substitution however I don’t eat either of those. I then asked for a bag of corn chips (I wanted these as a side anyway but could only chose 2) and initially she said “you want to add this on for $1” (🤔there was a brief awkward silence on my end wondering why she wanted to charge me for these) then she said “never mind I’ll throw them in”. Everything tasted good the green beans were spicy but I like spicy so that’s was fine but if you don’t like spicy don’t order the green beans. It worked out because at the I was no...

We are in KC for a weekend get out of town trip. We selected Dickie’s because it was close to our hotel. Let me start by saying I judge bbq at times. The pulled pork was average. I would expect to get this product from a drive through fast food establishment not a sit down bbq chain. The brisket was chewy and hard except for a few bites. The baked potato casserole was Luke warm and barely flavored. The baked beans were okay but not an award winner. On top of this the corn bread muffins we bought were just under freezer cold. The best part of the meal was the Texas Toast. As for service the staff was polite. The three working consisted of a 50’s year old and two high school age kids. One of the kids appeared to be in charge. They did not get our order correct. In addition, another customer complained as their muffins were not done in the middle. We were the only customers in the restaurant.

I gave them two stars because they support local...

This place is truly 5 star. Good quick, tasty, and reliable barbeque. It is the perfect barbeque place to regularly visit. This place has never let me down. But not only that, the management, employees, and customers here are truly 5 star aswell.

I was having a bad day before I went here, and I left feeling revitalized. The people who work here truly go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant experience. The management is very family centric. I feel like they care for their customers as their own family. Their consistent integrity attracts and keeps good people coming to this location. Even the small conversation with the man in line in front of me was remarkably special for such a short interaction.

I highly recommend this place. It is a gem of an establishment-- a true example of what makes...

This doesn’t even deserve a 1 star. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was so bland. No seasoning on anything. The fries tasted like I was biting straight out of a raw potato. The pulled pork (if you can even call it that) was dry, fatty, and tasted like pulled chicken. The Texas toast was the worst bread I’ve ever tasted. It did not taste like Texas toast. The Mac n cheese, abysmal. The Mac n cheese was so basic and boring, but it was the most edible thing on the plate. Tell me why I spent $50 just to force myself to eat the worstttt food ever. Check out my boyfriend’s bland potato casserole in the photo. Why are the potatoes gray?!?! Never eating here again. Good Dr Pepper though. Btw this is what my plate looked like when we left.

Absolute horrible experience, I usually love this location but tonight's experience was not it. The 2 young men along with the adult they had working behind the counter need more people skills and how to work. The younger 2 kids were like deer in headlights and had no idea what was going on half the time, when I asked if I could use my online rewards they all didn't know how to redeem them in store so I wasted my points and couldn't use them! SO disappointed!!! Then to come out to my car and think I was going to enjoy my food, to bite into a big long piece of plastic wrap inside of my chopped brisket sandwhich?! Super disgusted with the sloppiness!

Dickies Barbecue has been one of my favorite restaurants in Kansas...this day I visited this place with my family that brings back beautiful memories...it was one of the first barbecues I ate in Kansas, unfortunately several establishments have closed and this is one of the ones that It is still open...the food was delicious, the service was very friendly, the place was a little run down and if there was something that we loved it was the free ice cream cone that they gave to customers...today the machine was no longer working it was a shame. .but hey, this place is definitely an excellent place to try BBQ.
