Fat Bee Cafe — Restaurant in Kansas City

My husband and I stopped by for a refreshing iced coffee. I checked out the menu and photos, settled on the Creme Brulee Lovers, no boba. I was handed a delicious looking cup of ice with coffee and a cheese cream topping. Yup, you read that correctly. Not an iced coffee, a coffee'd ice if you will. Not typically a blended drink fan, but this wasn't even blended, it was just chunked, making it difficult to get what little coffee there was, out. Forget any mixing of the cream topping. I salvaged what I could. Hardly $6+ worth. Delicious, but you see a photo of an iced coffee, read the description with no mention of blended ice or whatever, your expectations are typically set. Very clean, plenty of seating inside and out and the croffle was very good! The staff was very nice, I visited the downtown KCMO store. Very close to the bus line. I had the Matcha Milk Tea and Strawberry Sangria drinks. I really liked the Matcha Milk Tea. I had boba added to the Sangria and those were very easily burst. I don't usually like the Boba in my drinks at other places I've been. These I liked. Softer and a little smaller than other places. There's simply just no standard of service. One day you order a drink, it's made one way, and the next it's made differently. Basically just based off how lazy the workers feel at a given point if they want to Brulee sugar on the creme Brule or not, or sometimes they will forget to add Boba when you paid for it, or sometimes they will just put a ton of ice to make up for the fact that they're out of simple stuff like milk. I ranked it two stars because when it is made right, the product is good, but if you're a regular customer, be prepared for very inconsistent service for a very premium...
