Still an amazing tenderloin and tots! Get it spicy.
Be aware they are closing April 22nd 2024 build a bigger kitchen and indoor seating. They say they'll be closed all of May.
Update - Recently visited and saw the Health Department pull up. This could be good or this could be bad :-) They came out with a sack full of food, so if the Health department will eat here....
The best tenderloin sandwich I've ever had. Far from the traditional super sized tenderloin, it's 3 hamburger sized patty tenderloins. It's deep fried with a tempura batter, using vodka so that it evaporates when it hits the hot oil leaving a light and crispy batter. This process works so well that a bar in the bottoms, copied and is making sliders the same way. Make sure you get it spicy, a homemade sauce. I can also recommend the catfish, it's up there with the best I've had. You must get the tator tots too. Before Kitty's I didn't know there was a rating for tots. They are crispy on the outside and creamy hashbrown like inside. Truly amazing! I also think they change their oil on a regular basis, not trying to every last fry out of it. If you're looking for a phone number to call ahead, you won't find 1. They said too many people calling in and not picking up orders. There is a seating area outside and I've visited on 95deg days and it's comfortable under the carport canopy. Remember 2 things... Cash only and only open 9-5pm, so don't expect to get something on...
Read moreThe pork tenderloin sandwich is pretty good. I would give it a solid 4/5. The patties are thin sliced, stacked on top of each other in bun sized pieces, tender and flavored well. The breading is a tempura style batter so it is not your typical breading but it goes well and is not super greasy. The standard dressing comes with hot sauce, onions, and tomato. I thought the hot sauce was probably about a medium on spice level, the only thing I didn't like is that the hot sauce has a slight sweetness from the tomato base I'm assuming they use. It'd be better if it had a tang instead. Maybe next time I'll have pickles and mayo on it and see if it's better. I also tried a burger and it was good. As others have mentioned, the place is tiny, only a small lobby to order in and food will take about 15 minutes to be ready. The parking is also hard to get as it's street parking and there's maybe a total of 6-10 spots nearby. They do have an outdoor patio space with tables to eat at in warmer months. Prices are about standard for this...
Read moreI remember hearing about this place years ago but never went. It popped up on my FYP on TikTok so I decided to give it a try. My family and I drove down on a Saturday around 12:30. Not sure where it was exactly, we ended up driving by it and having to turn around. There is only street parking available so we parked 1/2 a block up and walked down. We weren’t the only ones who did. The steady flow of people coming in and out was a lot. Good for business. They only accept cash, which is good to know beforehand. We ordered the famous pork tenderloin, a cheeseburger and fries. Everything is alacarte. Which is also good to know beforehand. The tenderloin had good flavor but was fried very hard. My husband enjoyed his but said it was too spicy, he had the hot sauce. Overall, it was good. Glad we...
