Panther's Place — Restaurant in Kansas City

Visiting from out of town, this was one place on our short list of must check outs. VERY trendy, which as dive bar kids is different for us, but we wanted to check it out anyway. Kind of confusing since when you walk up it looks like you’re at Outpost Social Club (which is connected and basically the front bar) but the kind door person directed us to the back part, which is Panthers Place. Multiple pockets to hang out, starting with a little air stream mobile home with a fake lawn and chairs, then leading to a few spots that have an outdoor vibe while still being mostly enclosed. Lots of plants and lights and like a cozy backyard vibe. We got there late on a Saturday, around 11, so it wasn’t too crowded and easily found a place to sit with great ambiance, but I can see a Friday Saturday before 10 being pretty packed. We got the cucumber cocktail which was DELICIOUS but unfortunately they were out of the ingredients in the back bar and the bartender was SO NICE to go to the other bar to make it for us, which we appreciated (and tipped lots as thanks!) so so much, but that meant we felt to guilty to ask for a second one. We just got a Tito soda instead, and the second bartender was also very nice. Overall a fun place, kind people, and lots of cute/cool photo spots if you’re into that sort of thing. Glad we checked it...

We were told upon arrival there was a short wait due to limited table space (5 people in our party). We were perfectly fine with waiting as it was a Saturday night, but unfortunately the waiter proceeded to prioritize the 10 person group and a group of 4 other women who both arrived after our party rather than seating in order. I politely tried to interject and let him know we had been there first, but it didn’t seem to get through to him. He then assured us it wouldn’t be more than an additional 15 minute wait until he could seat us (this is after our initial 15 minute wait). It’s just disappointing, especially as our group also happened to be the only one with black...

This little nook on the outside of Kansas city is an awesome experience. With outdoor areas and awesome plant and rustic decor makes you feel like you're at a little getaway. Don't shy away from the food or hand crafted cocktails as they are better than the next. Fluffy pretzels to delectable pizzas, this place doesn't miss the mark on any avenues. If you are looking for something unique and fun this place is your local hangout...
