Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory — Restaurant in Kansas City

I called the store in advance to see if they sold the red candy apples. Dayne answered the phone and said yes with two left. I arrived at the store about 7 minutes and she mistakenly thought she had them but didn’t. She only had cinnamon. I was very disappointed and didn’t see anything else I wanted, so I left. 30 minutes later Dayne called my phone and said that fresh apples will be made the next day and offered me two free apples. I could tell she felt bad, and I reassured her that it was okay. Mistakes happen. The next day, Izzy (The manager) called me and told me that I should come to get fresh complimentary candy apples. Wow is all I can say. I started to order a small latte, asking for skim milk. They did not have any, nor did they have 2% milk, only whole milk. Or, the manager offered, she had a low-fat option of oat milk or almond milk. I decided on oat milk because I’ve never tried either one. She then proceeds to try to charge me extra for the milk alternative even though I really didn’t want an alternative but had no choice if I didn’t want whole milk. Asked to speak with a manager, she is the manager. POOR manager/customer service skills. Not only did I not purchase the latte but I didn’t spend about $30 on the chocolates I was also going to buy. This place is amazing. The variety of chocolate confections they have is on point! They also serve good coffee, ice cream and sweat treat deserts such as candied cherries. The store was super clean and the service was VIP excellent! They made me feel like Jay-z up in there. For a minute I thought I was royalty. They kept asking me what I would like, they offered samples, and even helped me and my family with our selections. We ordered a blackberry crumble milkshake. They made one too many by accident so they gave us one for free! They heard my wife talking about how she wanted one, but figured we would split so ours kids could get more stuff.
