Wendy's — Restaurant in Kansas City

Alright, starting off with the food, it was good! Everything came out quickly and tasted fresh! Plus, it's affordable.

The atmosphere inside is very nice. They have a modern look, with new chairs and clean restrooms. I didn't need to wipe my table before eating, everything was well maintained.

The one thing that turned me away from this place was the service. Immedietly I was rudely spoken, being told "huh?" Multiple times, even though I was right in front of them! I ignored it and thought maybe I wasn't speaking loud enough, it happens. I proceeded to place my order and saw the strawberry frostie advertisement. I wanted to try it and couldn't find it on the menu above. So I asked if she had an idea of how much it is, she proceeded to tell me "it's right behind me, look up." And when it took me even longer to fine it, she proceeded to roll her eyes. Finally, I processed my payment while she walked away. It showed that the payment went through. But when she come back, she told me to reinsert the card because the payment wasn't done. I could have sworn I saw payment was complete, so I proceeded to re-enter my card and pay for it again. I stood to the side out of the way to not interfere just to check my bank account quickly, make sure I wasn't charged twice. She proceeded to walk up to me and say "it didn't go through, move"

This is a middle of the road Wendy's -- not ever great and not ever terrible. Most important, the food here is generally Wendy's- level quality. But considering Wendy's is one of my favorite fast food chains, it's the little stuff here that drives me nuts. I've probably eaten here 50 times over the years and the last 40, I've avoided the drive-thru. It's not only slow, but I've gotten wrong orders here five or six times. I don't even bother anymore. My only complaint inside is that if an employee is in their first week working at Wendy's, chances are they'll be taking my order and struggling to ring it up. HAVING SAID THAT, the employees are always nice and never stand around. It is very clean inside because when it's not busy, they are walking around cleaning tables and refilling condiments, napkins, straws, lids and stuff. They call you "sir" and "ma'am" and ask how you're doing. I go here with my book and will spend an hour reading after I eat. There are places to sit outside in nice weather with a little area where your kids can get rid of excess energy while you soak up fresh air and sunshine. It's situated on the outside edge of The Legends complex so you can get in and out easy but you're still only five minutes from the...

Look, I like this store, it's convenient and it's open later than a lot of other stores in the area

But I don't know what's going on lately, but quality has gone way down. The last three times I've drove by it just hasn't worked out well at all

1/3- cash only no cards. That's an understandable technical error but still frustrating

2/3- It took me 10 minutes to get through the line And get my food And when I pulled up there was only one car in front of me. Not to mention, that I had asked for extra of one of the sauces, and I got one total for my 10-piece and fries

3/3- once again it took a while to get through the drive through, so long the person in front of me in line left the line and went to go somewhere else. And then once I finally got everything, they gave me the wrong type of nuggets, and I had asked for extra sauce and I got two total this time

They either need to staff this store better, or start actually training their employees how to communicate...
