I think this post office unfairly gets a bad rap because this place was not built for the large volumes of residents it now serves in 2018.
Yes, the parking is a joke with the whopping five parking spaces, and the post office counter area was built to accommodate 2-3 adults at a time max, but the staff is always on point and has never let me down.
Kimberly & Bernadette are always polite, friendly & professional. Kimberly has helped me several times with packaging issues, and always does so with a smile or a kind word, despite how incredibly busy she may be.
The postal workers at the counter work tirelessly to efficiently and professionally manage the postal needs of a ridiculously large number of residents. Please cut them some slack! I give them a ton of credit because I do not know how many times a day I could sit there and politely ask people if their package ‘contains anything liquid, fragile, hazardous, perishable, or potentially flammable,’ without wanting to stick a fork in my eye!
I give the employees 10 Stars! The reason for my 4 star rating is because I’m hoping that the United States Postal Service hire-ups might take notice and realize that they should stop wasting money on sponsoring people like Lance Armstrong (gag) to advertise for them and spend those millions upon millions of ‘advertising dollars’ on oh, I don’t know, -say employing more people at this location, giving the current hard working and dedicated employees a raise, or remodeling to make this location more convenient for everyone who has to go there. (For the record USPS, if you’re reading, -I couldn’t care less who you pay or how you advertise! The only motivation I think that 99% of us have for going to the post office is because we need...not want... to mail something! Find a better use for that $30,000,000.00 or so you wasted on the...
Read moreI love the staff at this Post Office. I have been doing business with them for many years, and they are wonderful. I had a bad experience at another Post Office, which wasn't my choice to visit in the first place. I was with someone the day they had to do some business at the Post Office, so I had to take care of my business there because they didn't want to drive to another Post Office. I didn't want to go there in the first place, so it didn't take long for me to learn how dishonest, rude, and unprofessional they were. Ms. Ro, and Ms. Bernie are amazing and they are always pleasant and professional in doing their job. The staff here work great together and they love their job and their customers. I have never had a problem with receiving any of my mail or packages. They are extremely helpful in assisting you with anything they can help you with to make sure you have a great experience. They always provide me with excellent customer service. Thank you USPS for hiring such wonderful people. The retired employees Mrs. Teri, and Mr. Marty are amazing and always so happy and ready to help. Chan and Kimberly help out when an employee is on vacation. They are both amazing people and very helpful. They also make sure you get your mail and your packages. Thank you all for being who you are. They are definitely an asset to the company. Thank you USPS for hiring such...
Read moreForget trying to call.
They're woefully short-staffed at this location & struggle just to cover the counter. They don't answer because they're with a customer and others standing in line. Unlike an auto parts store they don't take phone callers ahead of people patiently waiting in line. There really is no good time to call unless you like listening to ring tone. They do not process passports at this location. Any mail being held for you is not at this location. (Try the Pin Oak Rd. location) Mailbox keys for your neighborhood zone boxes are at the Pin Oak location too. The 4th St. location is for outgoing mail only. For all flat rate boxes your article must fit without deforming the box. It the package is bulging, even slightly, it is at the clerk's discretion to refuse it. I also would not want their job (dealing with the public) for twice the amount they...
