This is going to be a long one, so if you're going to read, please read the whole review because this isn't a 'mask' issue... So I brought a friend to Cane's who had never been before, bragging about how great the place was and the quality of the meat was equal or greater than Chick-fil-A. Upon entering the establishment (no other customers inside the building) we were informed that masks were required. I thought the requirement had been lifted, but the manager was adamant that they were required to be in the restaurant. Fine, no problem, we went back out to the car to get masks. At this point, my friend was not feeling it and wanted to go elsewhere. I begged him to give it another shot that the food was worth it, pointing out there was no line at the drive thru. I also said I would pay, and ended up getting the tailgate 25 pc strips, and one gallon each of lemonade and sweet tea (totaling $50), instead of the two meals (would have been about $25) we had planned on eating inside. Upon pulling up to the window, we noticed one employee with their mask pulled down under their chin delivering cups to the cup dispenser at the drive-thru. We paid and were asked to pull forward to the front to wait for our food to be brought to the car.
Fast forward 17 minutes and three other cars after us getting their food and driving away. I go in to see what the holdup is. At this point I'm armed with my cell phone camera and a hunger for great chicken strips that I've had in the past. I get to the counter (sans mask) I catch the cook with his mask pulled down under his nose, which we all know is NOT an effective way to wear a mask. I really don't care because the mask requirement has been lifted. The woman hands me the food and apologizes for the wait. Now here's why they get a one star: when we get back to my friend's to eat the chicken that I've been smelling for the for the 5 minute car ride, I'm presented with what I put in the picture that anyone who's been to Cane's knows is like not up to standard at all. I am embarrassed beyond belief from as much bragging as I had done regarding the quality food at this place to experience these scrawny pieces of chicken was a lesson...
Read moreHorrible unprofessional experience. Raising Canes offer discount box combo with the purchase of box combo. The registered card I always use wouldn’t work today. Dee(manager) advised me to contact number on the back of card, but there were no number on the back of card. The young lady working the register, including the ones on the front line rolling their eyes and laughing. When I asked, what’s funny to get humor out the joke as well. Dee stated he would handle it, but stated he couldn’t give first names of staff. They close the window and didn’t acknowledge I had a second order. They eventually come back to the window. The young lady at the register argued me down I didn’t purchase a second order. She went called a second manager who stated the same thing. I stated you all need to call the young lady from the back window to confirm this. The manager than acknowledged they located the order in another customers bag. They left me waiting at the window several minutes for condiments. After waiting so long, my food was cold. Unprofessional and unacceptable service. Raising Canes need to offer more in services to there employees from Chick Fil A on what great customer...
Read moreI work all over the city, driving from jobsite to jobsite. It’s been a long day and as I search for a food place I see Canes pop up close by. They are not exactly right off the interstate but it’s only 2 lights so I go. I wanted to sit and relax with some food and good tea before getting back out there and fighting weather and traffic. I order my food but as I try to pay the strip on my card will not read on their system. It’s kind of finicky sometimes and honestly some places there’s no issue, others they have to type it in. So I tell them “you’ll probably have to type it in.” They tell me they are not allowed to do that and when I ask why, they say “security reasons do not allow us to type in the card number.” Security reasons? Really? I’m standing right there, it’s my card and I’m giving permission, so what other excuse do you have? Bottom line, I could not get something to drink or eat any food because whoever the owners or management is at this raising canes will not allow employees to enter the card number when somebody tries to make a purchase. That’s why I only give one star in review. -Update: Wataburger across the street did not have any problems...
