Got the Wonton Soup, pork Pan fried dumplings, sesame chicken with fried rice, fried cheese/crab rangoons, and my hubby also got some type of spicy chicken with fried rice.
Good: wonton soup was truthfully a wonton soup and wasn't overly saturated with a bunch of extra items (like some places put way too much broccoli). I appreciate the serving of fried wonton wrappers and sweet & sour sauce with the meal. The pork pan fried dumplings tasted like som pan fried wontons this place in Houston off I45 called Moon Palace used to do (Moon Palace closed years ago) - delicious and tasty, it was very nostalgic for me. The sesame chicken and spicy chicken pieces were cut in a way that was really friendly to eat, not overly bulky/large like some places do. The rangoons weren't greasy and had a nice cheese/crab ratio. The service, the staff were really nice. Food came out fast.
Meh/dislike: the place is quite a bit rundown and unclean. Like the women's restroom was blatantly out of toilet paper and seriously needed a deep clean. This isn't authentic so it might be a turn off for some people. The meat of the wontons could use some reworking as it was just okay. The sesame chicken was actually dry, it had more than enough sauce but the meat itself was dry. The food came out suspiciously fast, like it had been prepared already before we got there. The restaurant isnt easy to see...
Read moreAVOID!!! I ordered from this place last month on July 4, since most places were closed. So I place a call and an old lady answered the phone and started to take my order. It wasn't until she started to get my address info and she could not understand what I was telling her. I kept on repeating my address to her and she still was finding it hard to place my address on the system. This went on for 5 minutes!! Why would they allow an old Asian lady to take orders if she can't understand what people are telling her? I think the best place for that lady is doing janitorial work, because she should not be taking orders at the slowest pace. So then a guy answered the phone and was able to take my order and place my address correctly. He apologized and mentioned that the old Asian lady was training... Well, she isn't doing a good job, buddy! So, it gets better...they ended up charging me $77.72 when my order was actually supposed to be $22.72. I think the old lady might have charged me a bit more on accident since she clearly did not know what she was doing. Tried to dispute this transaction with my bank but it did not work out in my favor. Will NOT be ordering from this...
Read moreI had the strangest experience at this place. I ordered over the phone and had to go back twice for them to correct my order which wasn’t even a huge deal since they fixed it right away. What really bothered me was getting a phone call from the lady that took my order telling me that my food was wrong and that I needed to bring it back. She kept arguing with me that I had been given chicken lo mein and that she needed it back even though I literally had a mouthful of beef lo mein. I told her I’d take a photo of my food and post it online to prove it, and suddenly she changed her mind and said she made a mistake. I have never gotten a phone call from a restaurant informing me that my food was wrong, much less demanding that I bring it back. The food was really good but after this experience, I don’t think I’ll eat there again. Why be so adamant that I bring it back? Even if it was wrong, It’s not like they could have given it to the right person to eat after it had already left the restaurant. Unless that’s what they were planning on...
