Stumble across Lonnie's instagram handle and thought her work looked amazing. Messaged her inquiring about pricing and services and she responded to me within minutes. She was fairly thorough with educating clients about the process, as well as asking for the history of client's hair in the past 2 years to ensure the best possible result for your hair.

I booked her months in advance as that was the only availability she had at that time. I came in 10 minutes early and she saw me right away. She was super friendly and almost came off as like one of your girlfriends you haven't seen in awhile. Very comfortable to talk to.

I have to be honest, I did not have high expectations for the result of my hair, due to many attempts of getting a balayage elsewhere, and the frequent disappointments. My hair has became fried, broke, and damaged in the past 2 years, and I just felt that it would be a huge challenge for Lonnie to make my balayage dreams come true again.

However, I stuck with my hair appointment and let her do her thang... She educated me every step of the way which I appreciated. She helped guided me on how to take care of my hair better, as well as hair treatments at home that can easily be done in 10 minutes.

After about 3.5 hours, she turned me around in the chair and I was astonished.... She literally took my breath away... well I mean, I took my own breath away with the way I looked, but all thanks to her! I could not believe how light she got me!!! Sherry Tabari in Studio 804 has been doing my highlights and cuts for about 10 years and it always comes out fantastic. I've followed her from each salon as she moved, she's that good. She listens to what you want and is very honest about what your hair will and will not tolerate in terms of processing, color, style, etc. Sherry attends hair shows periodically for training on new products and new techniques so she is up on the current trends and finds the best products for her customer's hair. She will not push extra products or services on you but will recommend the correct products to make your hair it's healthiest and most beautiful.

I had a friend who went in to see Jamie, one of the hair stylist at Blue Lion Salon. After asking for balayage hair, she was left with orange tinted hair that was streaky and simply not up to her standards. After respectfully contacting Jamie to talk about her hair, Jamie proceeded to be extremely hostile and rude to my friend. She went on and on about how black hair is hard to lift and she should be grateful for what she got. My friend understands perfectly well that black hair is hard to lift and can be stubborn with bleach, but a few years back she received a beautiful balayage with no orange streaks after just 1 session with a different hair stylist. When she made Jamie aware of this and asked for a partial refund, she insulted my friends intelligence and then proceeded to BLOCK her. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL.
