Ziggi's Coffee — Restaurant in Katy

With so many coffee shops to choose from and with so many news ones popping up left and right, I try to narrow down to those that have something unique to offer. A recent search for something new and different in my vicinity led me to try Ziggi’s Coffee in Katy, TX.

What you will find at Ziggi’s is the usual coffee drinks and teas common to other coffeeshops, but there is more. They also serve energy infusions, smoothies, sparkling sodas, assorted fruit drinks, and others. If you’re in need of a snack, you will find many items to enjoy, among them breakfast sandwiches, assorted burritos, paninis, cookies, and breads. The food selection is better than what I have seen at other coffee shops and I have liked what I have tried so far, which have been the burritos and sweet treats.

With the drinks, I usually go for a coffee- based beverage and I have liked what they serve at Ziggi’s, with the Colorado Mocha and the Gold Rush Cold Brew among the standouts. My only small issue is that, if you order one of the smaller, cold coffee drinks, there is a little too much ice; so much so, that your drink runs out faster than you would like. I didn’t have this problem with the larger size drinks, and of course, there is no such issue with the hot beverages they serve here. But the smaller serving sizes don’t last as long as they should, due to the ice content.

The interior of this Ziggi’s location is larger than that of most other coffee shops. They offer varied seating, too, including sofas. I like it when I can find a coffee shop with sofas and chairs. It’s much more comfortable than sitting on a hard seat and it makes you feel right at home. I also like the large windows, as they let in plenty of natural light.

Coffee shops are numerous, but Ziggi’s Coffee is certainly a standout in this crowded market. Tasty drinks and a pleasant atmosphere make Ziggi’s a place you need to add to your coffeehouse...

The ambiance was inviting, with soft lighting, comfortable seating, and a pleasant aroma of freshly brewed coffee in the air. What struck me immediately was the warmth of the staff. Their friendly smiles and genuine enthusiasm set the tone for a delightful experience.

Now, let's talk about the coffee – it was exceptional. The coffee had a good flavor profile, and the covered chocolate espresso bean is a must.

Aside from the coffee, the menu boasted an array of delectable treats. I couldn't resist trying their freshly baked pastries, and they were heavenly. Flaky croissants, muffins, and indulgent cakes pops, even burritos and sandwiches– every bite was a testament to the shop's dedication to quality ingredients and baking.

The shop also had a selection of unique teas and refreshing beverages for non-coffee drinkers, ensuring there's something for everyone.

The atmosphere was perfect for both work and leisure. Whether you're looking to catch up on emails with a laptop or simply unwind with a book, Ziggis provides a cozy haven. The background music was just right – not too loud to disturb conversations, but enough to create a pleasant ambiance.

I love authentic coffee shops. Coming from a place whose social life is partially built upon coffee shops and defining part of who you are by the one you adhere to, it is a relief and a joy to find Ziggi's! There are not many real coffee houses in Katy in this area at all. Starbucks does not count at all. This place gets all the stars! I have gone twice and I will recommend it to everyone. It is the only place to go in my mind now.

There is a drive through if you do not want to stay, but I think you should. The ambiance is exactly what a person wants in the mornings. It transforms the entire space. I forgot I was in Katy and there was construction. Everyone who works there is so kind, friendly and courteous, but completely comfortable and normal. They are so efficient! My favorite is a tea with hibiscus. It is rare to find that here. They have a great selection of interesting and flavorful teas.

It has a variety of seating. The wooden chairs are very comfortable and the tables are the perfect height. You can type easily with no discomfort. The music is not loud and is contemporary. It adds instead of distracting. Inside it feels cozy because of the warm colors and the abundance of natural light.

It is a meeting place and a work space. There are outlets at all tables in convenient locations. The bar at the window is inviting. Great job overall! I fully recommend this...
