There are two general expectations one has when dining out. The first is food served fresh, the second is timely. Sadly this visit was neither. There was no excuse for the past expired fries, or the food languishing bags slowly being assembled for who knows what reason. The drive-thru was not busy, and we were the only ones doing carryout at the time. When we received our 4 meals 18minutes after placing the order from an automated kiosk, the food was luke warm at best and the fries were well past their prime. Worse yet, because of the exceeding slow service were late for an appointment.
There are only a few ways a fast food restaurant can fail, and sadly our visit today (Order #639) seemed to have hit on most. When we find ourselves in Kearney again, we will be sure to patron any of a number of their competitors in town. Unfortunately we were not given a reason nor apology at the time so I can only assume that this is SOP for this particular McDonald's. I would highly recommend to others to avoid until they have some serious training (customer service and food management) or significant turnover to address the underlying...
Read moreIn the last six months I have had nothing but HORRIBLE experiences at this location. Staff are lazy and incompetent. I'm not talking about occasionally missing something or adding cheese to a plain order I'm talking about COMPLETELY screwing up an entire order. Imagine having to order something a total of 15 times EVERY TIME you go through the drive-thru. Five times at the speaker you tell them what you want. Five times at the 1st window you tell them what you want. Then you pull up to the second window repeat your order five more times and get something COMPLETELY different from what you ordered. If you have to come here take the time to check EVERY item you ordered BEFORE you pull away from the window otherwise God help you. Saw recently they weren't going to be open 24-hours anymore so I hope this means they're losing enough money on their crappy service that they shut down and someone who knows what they're doing...
Read moreOnce again McDonalds fails the simplicity of an order. How many millions of orders does it take to figure it out? Ordered a Double Quarter Pounder large combo. Got a mediums worth of fries and a regular qtr pounder. I don't care if they are stretching fries out, not my problem. Start another batch, it's your job. And to top it off, it was a Doordash order so I'm paying more so I feel since I'm not right there to have it corrected it should maybe have a little more attention paid to it. But, what can you expect from McDonald's. They know they've established enough territory that they can pretty much treat us however they want and nothing is going to happen. Accountability and first class service is only for the small businesses to worry about, big business is exempt from normal customer service norms. I can't wait for automation to replace these sub par employees. Patience...
