We’ve ordered two times from here and both were great with super fast delivery. We ordered for a third time Nov 5th and it was a horrible experience. Delivery took 2 hours and the driver couldn’t find our house even though past drivers haven’t had a problem. He called multiple times saying he was outside when he wasn’t and wouldn’t listen to my directions. I tried calling him back to inform him that he wasn’t outside my house (not sure where he was) and he didn’t answer. called the restaurant and they said they would reach out to him. he finally found the place and gives us our food. it was lukewarm but whatever we were hungry. We start eating and one of our dishes was wrong. We call the restaurant back and they said they’ll send another one. The same guy comes back with the food and says the restaurant wants the other food back. What? No concern of COVID-19? I said we already ate some of it and he left. The whole experience was super frustrating and we’ll be taking a break from King’s Garden. I recommend you try their food but I have nowhere else to express my concerns. Read moreThe first time we had dine-in Chinese cuisine in town after we moved to Keene for 1 year. It’s getting cooler (colder) outside I had no mood of cooking after a long day while my two kids wanted to have noodles. I was a little bit worried before came here after I have read other reviews but this place was way beyond my expectation. We walked in because my kids picked Chinese ver noodle over Thai ver noodle (pad Thai)
I ordered beef broccoli, house special tofu, sweet sour pork and shrimp noodle. Food came hot (of course) not too salty and not greasy/oily compared with other Chinese restaurant. We didn’t even remember to take photos because my kids loved the noodles so much my 3y younger ate all the tofu in her plate even asked for more. The lady(owner) was very nice and thoughtful. She helped me pick dish for my kids and my husband.
I am leaving a long review because I feel like small business owners deserve real positive feedback if they are actually doing good. Giving 4 stars on atmosphere only because it is a bit crowded to put 4 tables. They are using disposable plastic plates but I have no issue on this considering I have two small children. I'm disappointed. In the past year, when we've tried ordering from K'sG they "forget" to include the rice package with the chef's special dinner menu items. Not just for delivery, but pickup, too. Last time i ordered I put the order in for pick up, paid online ahead of time with a tip, drove downtown, asked if they had included everything this time, got handed a knotted plastic sack order. when I got back to my car I opened the plastic bag that they tied so tightly shut. No rice container.
I returned immediately to get the rice. And they ARGUED with me that they DID include the rice. I asked them to show me which paper container had rice. They couldn't find it either, then they yelled at me that I had taken it out. Seriously?! No.
This time we tried delivery again. Still no rice. My friends, I realize that it was only $1.00 worth of missing steamed rice, at most. But, it is supposed to be included in the order with the chef's specials... that I paid for each time, in earnest.
So, has anyone else in the greater Keene area experienced the phantom rice phenomenon with their King's Garden food order?
